there are places in America with no permits or building codes. but these areas are normally far away from anything or anyone.

Country places typically do not have any codes besides the well and septic codes. And most insurance companies need your house to be wired by a professional. If you are in the City then yes you have alot of building codes to deal with.

50 k in Croatia- off grid relatively small (shepherd ) house can be built on agricultural land that has No utility hook up and is a far less expensive land per square meter than the land with utilities.

I'm used to be around and sometimes work in millionaire houses that are ten or twenty times the size of this tiny house but... they don't have the spirit nurturing quality of this house because... no big name Architect or amount of money can give you that. Nor the connection to the place, purpose and sense of belonging that building your own has. Great job, great vision mate. It reminds me of the song lines of the film "Brother Sun Sister Moon" on the life of Saint Francis as he was building his stone chapel bare foot on the snow..." do few things but do them right/heart felt work grows purity, day by day, stone by stone".

Nice story. Thanks. I agree with your philosophy...re feeling the right vibes on or from a property. I was born, bred, wed and became a grandma in Australia, but never felt like I belonged there. So I moved from Australia to Europe in 2014. I fell in love with Lower Bavaria, Slovenia and Croatia. I love the mountains in Lower Bavaria, Love the beauty of the beautiful creamy smooth old sandstone narrow streetss in Split and Lake Bled in winter, is beyond belief...But live in Hungary for now. Was the best place for me at the time...Flat as a tack, but was the easiest to buy into.

Mate I respect you so much. You were the one that inspired me into this "vanlife movement". Ur videos were so inspiring and very well made. U have an amazing story too and so much talent. But to be honest the videos have lost the top quality they once had and clearly aren't getting nearly the same amount of views as before. The b roll just isn't the same and tbh I just miss the good old westfalia tours and camper tours. They were so engaging too. You by far had the best tour videos on the platform, but now just isn't the same. No disrespect to u. May I just say I wish these types of houses were more common. The materials we use in modern housing are so flammable. Living in a bushfire prone land it would be so assuring to know that my house and belongings stand a chance if my property was to catch on fire.
