MasterChef Canada S03 E05 Full Episode: The mystery box had the home cooks workings in pairs. The pairs were Mary and Matthew, Jeremy and Jacqueline, Terry and Jennifer, Julia and April Lee, Michelle and Veronica, and Sean and Shawn. Julia and April Lee, Jeremy and Jacqueline, and Terry and Jennifer made the three best dishes, and Terry and Jennifer won. Subscribe: / masterchefworld

Terry and Jennifer were immune from elimination, and were shown eight different types of fish they then assigned to the other home cooks to cook. They also chose two home cooks to be saved from elimination. Targeting Jeremy, April Lee and Mary, they assigned monkfish to Jeremy, hake to April Lee, steelhead trout to Mary, British Columbia sturgeon to Sean, Spanish mackarel to Jacqueline, sole to Michelle, red mullet to Veronica, and branzino to Matthew, leaving Shawn and Julia to receive immunity. Veronica and Jacqueline made the two best dishes, making them team captains for their next team challenge. Mary and Sean were called out for having the two worst fish dishes, and Sean was eliminated, due to using his fish as a garnish in his dish.

They tried getting rid of Mary through the challenge at the end, but im thinking that ended up being their down fall. This put her into a flight or fight that wouldnt allow her to make any more mistakes in the kitchen @ 38:18. If she was more relaxed through the competition and slipped up near the end, we might have seen a different masterchef

The Monkfish might be hard to skin, but in terms of actually cooking it, I would honestly choose it in a heartbeat. It's not called the "poor man's lobster" for no reason, it's so meaty and is super easy to infuse flavor into.

pretty much every masterchef winner has been under the direct line of the firing squad at least once, even if they appeared dominant throughout. eric was nearly eliminated on multiple occasions. david was a lot more dominant, but was nearly eliminated in a tortellini pressure test.

Good riddance, after Sean messed up big time the first team challenge because of his ego, since he is assumingly more experienced with ribs. Not following your team leader and the consensual decision is a no no especially when you're the one is the sole reason of the L-at least he should have know how to take the criticisms after the challenge from his teammates and from the judges.
