I like this dude but disagree with his stance on how effective peds are. For example there was a study showing ppl who didn’t workout while taking peds grew muscle mass. Ofc genes, work outs, and diet are a factor but peds would also be a huge factor

He's didn't say peds doesn't help grow muscle mass. He said genetics plays a big part in getting as jacked as those who compete in body builder competition.

He never downplayed the efficacy of PEDs. He said genetics play a larger role than PEDs, which is true. Not only is there a general affinity for muscle gain based on genetics, but also an affinity to certain PEDs and how well you respond to them, both in their ability to help you grow, and their side effects. The most genetically gifted natural pro will dwarf an average gym bro who is on gear. That study is always brought up, but it's very old, and most people have never actually looked into it. The subjects still lived life normally and were not just sitting on the couch all day. Daily activities especially physically demanding chores and jobs will still utilize your muscles to some extent. There was also insufficent data on both group's diets and the natural group's training regime. If a single study concludes something, it doesn't count for a lot. You need multiple studies replicating the result. I guarantee you that you can find a study on literally anything being bad for you, even if theres 100 other studies saying the opposite. That's just statistics.

They even said the natty body building competitions not that fun to look at compared to the others bc of that same reason bc their body can’t genetically get to that point

Bodybuilders are known as meatheads--all the blood goes to their muscles. Bruce Lee had a good lat spread/wing span because he was also into bodybuilding Mike Chang was not freaky big but he had the natural skeletal structure to put on muscles.
