Not sleeping on the plane would be hell, I just flew 2 weeks ago from guadalajara to Phoenix. I was out before take off 😂😂😂 Not traveling with my kid then, but traveling again in January with a toddler since her 1st flight was when she was small and could sleep. So we shall see how hectic it can get 😮😮😮😢😢😢

I really like Amex platinum for all the perks, I have chase sapphire preferred bc I didn’t want to pay another $500 or so annual fee for reserve for similar perks. But I didn’t get tsa pre-check til the second year and I’m going to get global entry they pay for my clear membership too. So it doesn’t have to be on sign up and I added my parents so they could the perks and everyone gets all the benefits of platinum or gold up to 4 people.

Joe, like many others, are not too late to know about checking in a flight a day before. Pre-check is truly nice, but Global Entry is also nice to have when travelling internationally abroad. Because I'm an average tall guy, window emergency seats are my favorite because I get to stretch my arms and legs out for comfort. If I'm travelling on vacation, I opt for 3 or 4 days because I want to come home to spend the rest. Even though I'm always busy with work and responsibilities at home, I still make plans within my daily schedule to find time to travel.

If you pick up your boarding pass at your airport, you're also checking in, although you can check in without getting a physical pass.

Only missed one flight so far. I usually get to the airport 2 hours early but this time I thought I could be one hour early and be fine. The security check in line was so long it wrapped around and went all the way out to the parking ramp.

So this is a hack if your military, I fly every month for my weekend drill, I usually fly Alaska Airlines, so when I go back home to Hawaii from Seattle, I'm in uniform, I go to the Alaska Lounge, its free for service members in uniform for up to 3 hours before departure time, I go into the lounge, I have a extra bag with regular clothes, change in their clean restrooms, then prior to them calling to board my flight, I check in my bag at the counter for free! TOO EASY guys! :-D
