My friend lost a side mirror and had the weirdest story. She was at a red light by the hospital, a guy in an open ass hospital gown came barreling down the road, hit her mirror, snapped it off, ran with it like a football for a bit and then threw it into some bushes. 🤷‍♀

Get the camera, stop hesitating. Any camera is better than no camera. Also pro tip, read aloud the license plate in event of an accident or incident. Cameras aren’t guaranteed to get plate info. Your vision, however, can see way better than camera lens’ do. Safe driving!

I can relate to Bart and Ryan In October I was involved in a small collision in my girls neighborhood. Where the other driver was a freshly out of high school kid, taking his siblings to school. It was a humid early morning and he had just backed out of his driveway, without turning on his wipers yet and was accelerating towards the turn to get out. From my angle the house on the turn had their car parked exactly on the turn with its back end facing me and another Big suv with its back end sitting at the end of the driveway, blocking the view of on coming traffic exiting the neighborhood. I slowed down to yield and proceeded cautiously and saw a sedan accelerate right towards me when I was not even turning my wheel about 2-3 o’clock . Like some cars do when they occupy the middle of the road to turn sharply on turns they chose to hug the curve and driving right beside the parked car facing them and saw me last second. I stomped on the break as a reaction that I saw him. And what felt like slow motion I watched helplessly as he proceed to collide with me. He got out of his vehicle with his phone in hand and I immediately knew he was probably on his phone while driving. Being that he just backed out of his driveway and the dew in the front of his car didn’t fully evaporate and that he was young and dumb he drove careless. I didn’t want to get police involved as this could be solved civilly but he didn’t have license on him and his older sister came out the house from the noise. Soon after it get like a movie where the whole neighborhood came alive. Everyone began to give their two cents and it became almost mob like. This has nothing to do with race but Mind you my girlfriend and I are Asian. In a general black community. It felt like every single neighbor turned on us. A woman even claimed I often sped through the neighborhood driving my tan truck. I have a silver compact suv a completely different description. I involved the police and provided them video camera evidence from the house that had those illegally parked cars. Turns out that was a cops house. The off duty cop and his wife came out from the commotion and attempted to deescalate the situation before involving more police but as soon as they arrived and questioned us for a time the main cop in charge of the were fined to fail to yield for oncoming traffic. Shocked that i was in the wrong despite the video footage( I later came to understand the camera angle was disadvantageous to me) of where u can see everything that happened. They later on proceeded to sue us for injuries of the kid passengers even tho u can see 3 of them get out the car and walk towards their house just fine. It’s a neighborhood we both drove about max 20th.
