I believe that once people really learn to love themselves they become sooooo much more powerful... are way more able to go out and lose the weight or gain enough confidence to go out and exercise in front of judgemental people. It takes waaaaay more courage for somebody who's bigger to want to go out and have people make faces opposed to people who get hit on or not bothered... yall need to love yourselves.

i think we went through years and years of fat shaming where the 90’s supermodel figure was the only body women can have. now fat bodies are accepted however we never considered health until fat positivity started happening lol people only started to really “care” about health until people started to get really fat. not to say skinny health was never talked about, but it was never a focus. we’re just hitting two extremes now.

I have never understood the droopy drawers trend. I don't need to be seeing some random guy's underwear hanging out of his pants, walking down the street or in the store. And to see them try to run, having to hold their pants up to keep them from falling down. Like fgs just pull up your pants.

To be fair there is national research to show that gender non affirming community and or care increases suicide risk by 50% But I would agree individuals aren’t going to speak up and confront people they care about as long as they’re not being rejected for being trans and you’re a safe person it’s fine as long as you’re not being malicious - the extremists online do make it hard for the regular people

I think people need to move more to body acceptance, meaning not shaming or celebrating- just being realistic with what you're working with. There are people that act like someone slightly overweight is about to die in 2 years. Vitamin b12 supplements exist lol.
@rivershaley Жыл бұрын
100% i think part of the problem is 1 the positivity and confidence is not real. it’s a lot more of “ofc everyone loves me/accepts my body” instead of “it’s okay if they don’t.” 2 a lot of the ppl who body shame feign concern for the persons health but only ever seem to harass fat ppl, never ppl who are underweight and 3 we look at being fat as a moral failing a lot of the time. when really we should probably be pointing at our lack of nutritional knowledge learned in schools and whatever they’re putting in our foods. especially since ik a lot of people at a healthy weight who have a plethora of health issues a lot being gastrointestinal. it’s a very nuanced conversation with so many different factors and i don’t think it’s all that fair completely blame the body positivity movement since obesity has been on the rise since the 70s and they definitely weren’t celebrating or putting someone who looked like lizzo on magazine covers back then
@Vincisomething Жыл бұрын
Definitely, those people who shame fat people never cared about their health, it's all about pointing and laughing at how "gross and lazy" they are. For some reason, it reminds me of when people made a big deal about Lady Gaga's tummy showing during a Halftime show or something. You can tell what guy has never been with a woman by how much they complained about it lmaoo. The rest of the guys were like yeah that's totally normal... It's like if she doesn't have a completely toned body she's fat lol.@@rivershaley

Many do regret gender resignment surgery in their future, but we don't talk about that, do we? That surgery has risks and doesn't guarantee future happiness. It is damn expensive, so people who are not well to do also put themselves into large amounts of debt if they opt for it. It is a lie that it will decrease wishes to not live or depression as well for the most part. Those feeling can remain after the change as well. Think carefully if you wanna do it. It is irreversible. There are many stories of people regretting it. Bart is right.

"Pronoun stuff" - lmao, you guys are reading way too into it (and jk needs more lgbt guests, because cisgender straight men talking about whether nonbinary people and what they use are valid is a bit of an oof). It's not that confusing, it's not like you have to remember every single pronoun or guess the pronoun of whomever you come across. The people that flip out on having the wrong pronouns used by accident are either people that never touch grass and spend all day on twitter or have some other mental thing going on... if you ask politely, they'll just tell you and if you accidentally get it wrong, they'll correct you or leave it alone. I don't know if you guys just talk to crazy people that seem to be nonbinary or think nonbinary people actually care more about pronouns than they do because of what the media shows. Every single person uses pronouns every day and nonbinary pronouns aren't that new. There's evidence of non-binary/genderfluid talk even way before modern times.... they/them as a singular term isn't new and was even used as far as the 14th century. I've at least known about these pronouns for at least 10 years- and btw the same thing about "pronouns" becoming obsolete was said back then, too- it only got bigger. If you think pronouns are just becoming a thing in present day, you were always out of the loop. They always have been, it's just that more people are educated on it. Also, If the hospital knows their sex and what their organs/body look like, I don't know if gender matters to someone who is unconscious lmao. Although, if they're trans that would be important to know- just for physiological reasons. Knowing sex and gender in that case is more so the doctors know exactly what they're working with. I imagine working on a cis female would be different than a trans female- even with similar outward features.

BLM
@bethnichols2875 Жыл бұрын
Even the BLM doesn't believe all BLM. They are selective in which ones they will speak up on behalf of. When during the protests a group of Black juveniles were injured and 2 were unalived by one or more gunman at a house party, and it had nothing to do with the police, the BLM didn't speak up on their behalf. The protestors were too busy graffitiing up City Hall, and committing criminal acts. It was the police who were the ones to race to the scene trying to help and who spoke up on behalf of the victims afterwards.
