Having listened to most (if not all ) of Eminem’s song’s, I’m guessing the “it’s my alter-ego’s fault” is a sarcastic line. It matches the tone of most of his humorous/irreverent songs. “I’ve created a monster, cause nobody wants to see Marshall no more, they want Shady. I’m chopped liver. Well, if you want Shady, this is what I’ll give you. A little bit of weed mixed with some hard liquor.” (Without Me) He never used this “alter-ego” bit to hide behind. It’s more like he unleashes it when he’s about to say some real 💩.
