in this video I will show you how to offer files for download with our wordpress plugin. In doing so, we create some codes and sell or distribute them to people. The owner of the code can then redeem the code on your site and get his download.
First we activate the redirect option. But we don't specify a URL here, because we want to use the redirect to download only for certain codes.
If we want users to leave an email on top of that, then we also enable the option for the user to register on the code. This is optional for the user.
If you want only logged in users to be able to activate the download, then lock the validator accordingly. In this case, you should offer people to register with you in advance.
With this option you can also let the user set the code directly. Automatically, during the .
You can still determine how often people can download the file with the code.
I recommend the registration on the code, namely that the logged in user is taken.
Then we create a new code list. Here we now enter the URL to the download as a redirect url. If you want the download to start immediately, activate the corresponding option or leave the label for the download button empty.
Now we generate the codes. Make sure that they are imported into the correct code list. Because this list then controls the behavior.
So determine the number of codes.
Then determine the format of the codes.
Create.
Then define the code list and import it.
Done.
Now we can go to the validator page and make a test.
To see the codes in the list, we click on the button here.
Below I copy the code we are about to test.
Enter the code and validate.
The download will start immediately.
In the admin we will see the info.
