I have the big horn 3 with the vestibule, and I love winter camping. Yes it is a bit of a pain setting it up but well worth it. The other day I was thinking if a person was to stay in one spot for 14 days like we are able to here in Alberta it might work to have another vestibule on the other end. Yes no access from the inside but you could store a lot of wood or a quad etc. Just a thought.

I dont understand why no one builds a 'tent inside a tent." The outer tent would act as insulation/moisture barrier plus its enough space to store firewood. Its still camping but intelligent enough to combat the elements.

Black walnut wood. I smoked a turkey and a tri tip roast once with black walnut and finished it with hickory. Delicious flavor. Can't beat hardwood for smoking meat.
