Honestly I am green with envy. I'm a disabled US veteran and all I ever wanted is to build MY house. Some sort of hermit who lives down a winding path. Really somewhere that friends are always welcome. Enough space for my boys and their family to build their own house. Somewhere that my grand children are safe and their imagination can grow wild. A home I can leave in their hands for the next generation. Our land. To plant our trees. You're a lucky man. Good luck!✌️

Hi it was completely honest. We spent everything on the place and had enough to live on for 6 months. We then had an investment come in which financed the bit you are talking about. That’s why I said at the time having no money. There’s a vid of me building the compost loo reusing old nails and pallets etc

totally awsome love it... ive been renovating an old cottage for 4 years had no electricity for 2 years !! i have a fab log burner and spent 2 years chopping wood and getting a really bad back untill i stumbled on a you tube video by a chap using tyres arround his chopping block to prevent the split logs landing on the floor its genious has saved me hours and 2 futher years of back pain give it agao..cheers and massive well done ian

Twenty years ago and over the span of 20 years, my hubby and I cleared and flattened our 5 acres of Oregon marionberry and blackberry bushes. Our weather was always raining, much like Ireland...49th parallel!!!!We tried one of the cheaper structures to hold hay for the 4 horses we put before the cart!!! It was a wonderful life and if I can recommend anything, it is...go with what makes sense and give yourself a break every now and then..have fun and love one another...be kind in your life and always, always be true to yourself!!!! I am a repousse artist and have worked in leather, so, ur woodworking was mesmerizing. And to all of u...Much love and health in the new year!!!!

i am moving next spring to an abandoned farm. It is not completely off grid, but it is totally overgrown, it is not sure if I will be able to live in a house or only get a camping house or smth small. I am moving with my horses and dogs, it has two fountains and an old bavarian vegetable and fruits garden. I can’t wait to start working on this as my own little paradise home with 24 years and single. Best part about this, I am moving closer to my grandparents and family roots ❤ Thanks for sharing your journey, I am admiring everyonw who can build up their dreams with their own hands

Where are you from? There are many people creating off grid regenerative farming communities now and the number is growing! My advice, being part of one of those groups, is to build your self a network of like minded individuals who all want the same thing. Owning land is awesome but not necessary with these groups 🌹
