❤️I can see how a person could find enjoyment caring for bees, collecting and the extraction of honey and being so close to Nature. My father ate a pound of honey a week. He never was sick until he was 97 years old. He became sick with the flu and died of pneumonia. He always said the honey kept him well.❤️

Hi guys. I'm from Greece and I'm 2013 me and my wife moved and live permanently in Wisconsin and I really want to start keeping bees the natural way. By watching your videos Doug, with Dr Leo you gave me enough information that other bee keepers don't share that I can't wait till next spring to put up a swarm trap on a tree in my back yard. Thank you so much again for your always very informative videos

Doug you are so lucky that Dr. Leo comes out every spring and fall!!! He’s a great guy to do this out of his desire to teach so many newbies and even fairly experienced bee keepers tips and great knowledge, he is a truly beautiful human being!!! I don’t know if you actually pay him to do all this work but I recognize he freely does the work and openly shares his vast knowledge!!! I am going to guess that he considers his teachings so important as to the world that every effort on his part for your behalf is more than worth his time to completely secure your bees. In other words the bees and bee keeping, means more to him than any financial benefit that he could have possibly have garnered from this endeavor time after time...and that kind of dedication is a most beautiful thing!!!! THANK YOU TO THIS EXTRAORDINARY PERSON!!!!! It looks like the bees will winter well from here!! We need more people like him in our world!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH DR. LEO!!!

The bees draw their cells on a frame at a slight upward angle, so if you put the Langstroth frame with the top of the frame to the right, rather than to the left like you did (in your extractor), the honey flies out much easier. Your extractor is spinning clockwise, the honey would not have to fight centrifugal force when leaving the cells. It would reduce the amount of spinning time in the extractor.

Thank You Very Much for having DR Leo on your channel! I learned of your channel thru watching Randy at 628 Dirt Rooter as I went thru all of his videos after I retired early on June 30th. I then picked up on Fredick Dunns' channel and he remarked back to me that it sounded like Dr Leo was in my Neiborhood. Turns out he is only 2 1/2 to 3 hours' drive time due east of me in SW Missouri where I live. I've spent the entire day watching videos of his, mostly thanks to you for showing him in action on your channel. I'm going to go his route with bees because it has just spoke to me. I almost got into bees back in the 90's but, things came up and I wasn't able to. Like most things in life, it may have been a good thing that it didn't happen back then, I would have picked up bad habits from the local bee club meetings I had gone to. With age comes wisdom and I think I'm better prepared now with being able to learn from someone like Dr Leo that is in my own area and looking at things like he does. Thanks again for showing him on your channel!

Bees are amazing. My father-in-law had bees in his yard to pollinate his huge garden in Overland Park KS. When we visited in the summer & had water around , we could watch them suck the water right off us. We learned to sit still & not swat the bees, & we existed just fine.

I heard somewhere that the queen will naturally lay eggs in the frames closest to the entrance and honey gets stored in the back. So, if you keep only one entrance on one side, you can naturally create frames of full honey in the back and not have to worry about honey/brood on the frames you want to harvest.

Awwh I've loved this video!! I am an absolute beginner in beekeeping as we bought our first two families last week. So I am watching as many videos as possible to learn, and when I first saw how long this documentary is, I was like, no way I can watch that much on bees. But, surprisingly, it kept me engaged all the way, and I didn't want to miss any second of it. It was super interesting, and I learned so much. And as a bonus, I am so glad that you guys choose the natural way to keep them chemical-free and with no sugar syrup. Just the other day, I was pondering on how I don't want to do that, and it was strange to see that in almost all of the videos, all beekeepers do that. I want to keep them healthy and strong, and I want to put them a priority. I am going to subscribe and watch more of your videos. Thank you. Keep up the great work. 🤗

I had no interest in bee keeping the American way, and was only half listening at the first conference, but just a few minutes in, he had my undivided attention. Video timing is perfect! My yard/clover has been buzzing all summer. Thank you Doug for posting this and thank you Dr Leo for your passion.
