Everybody is shocked that there seems to be no storage left in this space!! Alexandra even says in the middle of the video that "closed storage is necessary". All of the items that were in the "before" video are still there (except the old dinner table and wheely cart)!! We have even more storage than we did before now that we have closed cupboards and a shelf for our photography equipment. We also STILL have our photography LIGHTBOX; it is foldable and lives beside the sewing table now; I just pop it open when I need it. Trust me, WE HAVE PLENTY of new storage thanks to Alexandra!! Thank you Shopify Studios for Making My Space Work!!!

Great makeover! It would be fun to see an update from the client after they have been using the space for a while to see which tricks worked for them or whether they had to alter anything to suit their needs.

This is such a great example of how organised things take up less space and why it is important to have a place for everything and everything in its place. Someone needs to invent a Murphy desk for shipping because Etsy community desperately needs that stuff. :)

I love the functionality of this space. As their budget increases, they can add more decor pieces but for now their space WORKS! With so many more people working from home, I would love to see some virtual home office makeovers even for those who aren't necessarily entrepreneurs.

Something you did but didn't highlight--with everything tucked away or put up high it is much easier to keep things clean, and that's HUGE for anyone making physical things. Awesome!

This looks like it was a case of getting to basics - what did they really need in the space and what was just sitting there but hardly or never used. Looks like a lot got tossed. It will definitely be more functional. It is inviting and that should make working there more enjoyable. Great job!

Great job as always, love that it is a First Nation's women-owned business, and I so love that floral robe Alexandra wore over the black top. Always fun seeing the outfits, not just the decor. Very signature fashion style yet with less expected pieces sometimes and always flattering.

I have a suggestion for the show to reach out to makeovers done in the past to see how well things have worked out for those using them and if any changes were made. It takes office solutions from “works in theory” to “actually works practically”. LOVE YOU SO MUCH ALEXANDRAAAA ❤️❤️❤️❤️

This is actually really cool to see a functional working-room makeover! So many makeovers are done to look minimal and aesthetically pleasing, without anywhere to hide away crap that isn't pretty - which is just not possible for me. And a lot of makeover vids entail BUYING more stuff - mainly non-functional decor that needs a place to sit and do nothing but look pretty. So this was a really refreshing makeover from Alexandra - would love to see more of these! End rant.

I understood from the top that they needed the backdrop, but still don't understand why she "86" the light box since that's a main thing they need.
@FurnitureFan4 жыл бұрын
It made sense to me that at the end of a shoot, the cameras can just go back up. Out of reach of children and not likely to have coffee spilled on them. I also thought they look good on the shelf. It's the same with any apartment, isn't it? Go high, store vertically, don't waste your wall space.
