In our home office, my hubby and I painted one wall with dry erase paint. We measured our ideal white board size, taped it off, did a couple of coats, let them dry and voila. We use Velcro to hold cups on the board for markers. Or we put Velcro on the markers and erasers and then just stick them on the side. I also use tons of post it's. My favorite for my lists are mouse pads with sections for either the day of the week or with three sections for 'to do,' calls, or email tasks. Great videos.

Such eye candy in organization. Love it! I just recently did a video on my channel in which I briefly showed how I plan my organizational projects in my home, but I really love this system that you have when trying to organize multiple project. You are so awesome! Thank you so much for this. I really am going to implement this. GREAT VIDEO!

Teacher tip! If you can't find that type of board in particular, just get a regular white erase board. You can create lines on it with a wet erase marker. It won't come off the board unless you get it wet so it'll stay around for a long time.

I love the colorful post it notes but I'm the type that doesn't like to waste anything if I can help it. I would take stacks of these colorful post it notes or just colorful construction paper and laminate them and place a thin magnet on the back so I could reuse them and write on the front with dry erase markers.

Sketch Marks I agree. Your idea got me wondering if there’s a product like that already. I found reusable notes that stick using static cling. It’s not perfect because you might not be able to remove and stick as often as notes using magnets and only the white sticky notes are dry eraseable while while color notes are permanent. The Accomplished section is a really great idea!! I'm happy I watched this one video. More than often I tend to scramble here and there to get things done by a weekly and monthly basis in my organizer but I never actually group all my accomplishments together or put it all in a list. Things do eventually happen but it's all over the place! This way, I think will be a great way for me to gauge my 'unproductive' days and tracks my progress in what I do. Great sharing Alejandra. Happy days!

I absolutely adore this. I wanna do this too. my heads so messy. it helps me so much to write everything down and divide it into categories. I love this accomplished area. amazing!!

Wow! I really need this. I did the computer desktop organizer but even then it's hard to keep track of things that way. I also use a planner but have so many projects on the go, plus am sick with MS so brain fog makes that more tricky. I had bought some whiteboards that I bought from the dollar store for another project and have a couple leftover. I don't have a lot of wall space in my small home office, but I do have a desk with a hutch. I think I can make the categories out of vinyl on my Cricut machine, and cut them to fit the cupboard doors on the hutch. I will probably need to do a mini post-it so I can do this on a smaller scale.

I just love this idea. I wonder if it could be used for new moms who are trying to keep up with household chores, feeding schedules, doctor appointments and meal planning both for the family as well as food stages for the baby. Later they could possibly add to it if they have a baby and older children. Keeping up with activities, school work, and extra curricular activities away from home; such as soccer practice and dance classes.

Hi Alejandra! If you like boards you should check out scrum boards or kanban boards. The concept in them is to know at what point a task is and have all task prioritized. We use kanban at work and I love it so much that I created a board (a little bit changed to fit in my necessities) for home too!

I like the way you set this up. I would like to do the same thing. It appears that you are using a non standard size of sticky note. The common size of sticky notes is 3 inches x 3 inches. If that was the case then there would not be enough room to fit all of them horizontally across the board since the board that your link points to is only 24 inches wide. Please let me know the size of your sticky notes are (I'm assuming 2 inch by 2 inch) and where I can purchase them in the wide variety of a colors Thanks

They also sell plain white boards that are as thin as paper and you can use for this system. I use the 38x48" sheet. www.planetsafecalendars.com/Dry-Erase-Paper-Rollable-Lightweight-38-x-48-p/psc-dep.htm You just simply add the vertical lines to create 6" columns, and you can use the 3x3 sticky notes.

Thanks for the tips. How do you determine what goes on the project board and what goes on the to-do list? Is it based on when each item has to get done, and/or how complex they are? I like the idea of keeping separate lists because if I put long-term or low-urgency items on my daily to-do list, they just keep getting pushed out and often don't get done until and unless they become urgent. I'm just not sure how to manage with more than one list. Thanks again, I love your videos!

Hi Alejandra. Thanks for the video! great ideas. I use something similar although yours is definitely neater. I skip using the whiteboard and stick my notes right on the wall. How do I keep them "contained" since I don't have a board? I mark the boundaries (ie a square) with painters tape. This way I have my defined workspace and its easily removable and won't damage the walls.

What size are the post-its? I bought the same board from this video (but from Amazon, since I have Prime and I wanted the free shipping). It didn't come with post-its. I thought maybe it would use the regular size of Post-its, since your Post-it drawer seems to have a lot of those...but you can't fit two per column with those. It looks kind of awkward. I would love to know what size fits better. Also, a to-do list video would be awesome. Thank you for the inspiration!
