Theo always picks up a little bit of the accent of whoever he's talking to lol....literally with everybody. He had Lil Boosie on and 5mins in Theo started sounding like Boosies cousin or something 😂😂😂

I have my tickets ready to see Theo in November! He’s unhinged and I don’t even know what to expect, which makes it even more exciting. I know there are a lot of Ohioans here, so raise your hand if you’re going to see Theo Von in Columbus November 14th 🙌

Saw him a few years ago in Nashville before he moved here. Funny as hell, but the nicest part was how he takes pics with everyone after the show. He actually spent those few seconds talking to my mom about that old show Highway to Heaven....lol

I'm glad you have a great sense of humor about Theo's unique point of view about all things British. As I'm sure you know we don't all share his misconceptions. I'm not even sure if he's being serious or just trying to be funny. Either way he cracks me up with the $h!t that cones out of his mouth.

Chris Williamson's channel put out a video "what British think of Americans." It's pretty funny and interesting to hear their perspective's. JimmyTheGiant's channel also did a "US vs USA culture, explained" video. That's a pretty good one too.

So in europe its more common to drink to get a buzz whereas in america people tend to drink to get drunk?

I grew up in an Italian American household and I was allowed to drink wine and beer at dinner around 12/13. But I do agree a lot of Americans when they drink have the goal of blacking out and it's a bit disturbing but also very American to just exaggerate everything. I lived in Germany for 8 years as an adult and I found the drinking culture a lot more reasonable and tempered.

I think it's because a lot of Americans find the taste of liquor and beer revolting so they're drinking to get drunk not to actually enjoy the drink.
@OneRandomVictory
@OneRandomVictory 3 ай бұрын
@@kevinprzy4539 I think part of it also stems from how late it is before we are allowed to drink. We're not eased into it by society or by our parents because we're not really allowed to do so. And either you end up drinking before you are legal and thus drink as much as you can whenever you have an opportunity to do so or you wait til you turn 21 and go wild. Drinking feels like more of an event than a casual social thing.

18:20 Just because there was 20 minutes of them letting their guard down? Yeah that sounds like a way to lose you a game in any sport… aside from maybe Cricket. Not sure how that’s a good example of the unpredictability nature of soccer. The NFL however is extremely unpredictable, so not sure I’d agree with Ed there.

It’s weird that Theo is from the New Orleans area because he speaks nothing like they do in New Orleans. Theo sounds like a country Southerner, but oddly enough people from New Orleans don’t speak like you’d expect. They sound like they’re from Brooklyn New York, not the South.

Daz, Aidan, just a recommendation for Mexican food in Philly. El Vez Mexican Restaurant at 121 S. 13th Street, Philadelphia. It's about 8 blocks from Independence Hall. It's really good. I've never heard anyone say what Theo is about the 4th being bad. Sounds like BS.

I’ve heard plenty of people say the celebration of July 4th is a celebration of white supremacy and the American flag itself as a symbol of racism and genocide. I had college professors back in the 90’s who taught that sort of ideology. It was always super far left but it’s now making its way into the mainstream.

It's so true, everything has to be so secretive about alcohol here vs UK and Europe. No joke, people will drive 30 miles to a different town as to not be seen in a liquor store or drinking in public. There's such a stigma and we wonder why so many college kids go absolutely nuts with drinking when they're finally free. It's so backwards here, UK and Europe have it so much more well reasoned with the culture. Quite frankly I blame the puritan movement here as well as prohibitionists outlawing it. It made drinking badass, not the norm.
@HBC423

The drinking age was raised to 21 to prevent young people from driving drunk which was a problem as the US is a car culture. Back in the 90s it was the #1 cause of teenage deaths. I don’t know of any drinking stigma for people who are over 21. Europe has more density to allow for better, and frankly safer, public transit to allow for younger age drinking. They also don’t start driving as early. In the US, most cities public transit is often associated with lower income or unsavory individuals. A drunk individual would make for an ideal target. College towns are an exception since it’s often younger demographics, walkable campuses, and safe/better public transit.
@Allaiya.
@Allaiya. 3 ай бұрын
@@HBC423agree. I don’t know anyone driving to another town for alcohol unless they’re trying to drink illegally underage & then they’d do it in private anyway.
