@spectralmoth9721 lol nobody even asked for the time stamp, so it's a pretty different situation for me to just tell a stupid, random, personal story where I also happened to include the time stamp at the end. Had anyone asked, I'd have led with the answer, but anyway, there's this new thing out for the illiterate, and it's called "scrolling". Perhaps give it a whirl since nobody is forcing you to read 3 entire sentences or anything.😂 Why would you even expand my comment if you had no interest in it? Even if you only did for a timestamp, that also requires zero reading on your part, just a simple click on the one and only highlighted, clickable thing you're after. Tricky, I know, but I believe in you!😃 Best of luck on your journey to literacy, humility, decency and common sense!😊

On the beer chat, sure I think there's plenty who do drink nearly every day and it's just a few drinks here and there. But we (UK) absolutely have a binge culture. I would say as many people don't drink during the week and then get absolutely smashed at the weekend. Bank holidays, if you get them off, you get smashed on the Sunday too and maybe the Monday. But yeah, drink with every event is true. I would say it was more European to go for 1 or 2 drinks. Certainly in my circles, we can't be bothered to go to a bar for just 1 or 2 drinks, what's the point? Let's get on it. Fancy a pint means 2-3 and then we have to go. Fancy a couple drinks? That's we're getting caned but still leave just before the pub closes. Fancy a piss up? Could end up on a Spanish beach and you've lose your phone.

I just want to say that as a Northerner I get better reception in Scotland and Wales than a Southerner would. I have only ever been greeted with Friendship in both countries, while my Southern mate ( from Brighton & Hove ) had to sit there and absorb the ridicule. A lot of Scots and Welsh came to my area, post war, to work in the coal industry. We are seen more as brothers rooted in our backgrounds than the more affluent people from the South. This is of course based solely on my own experience, but nowhere in Scotland or Wales have I ever had a bad reception.
