To be fair, when I moved to Ohio from Virginia, most people didn't recognize the name of the city (Hampton) I was from. They did know a popular tourist city nearby, Virginia Beach. So generally, I tell people I'm from there.

I think when they asked her had she ever been to London she thought that’s where they were from. But,They (some from the UK) have a tendency of lumping all Americans into whatever they’re saying instead of a particular place or individual that they’re speaking about. I think we all at times do that.

I had a Warrant Officer once, Robert, that would eat very spicy .. watched him eat a cheeseburger once and used Tabasco literally covering each bite with the sauce. One winter he was sitting by a window (Hooters) and the glass was frosted .. except around his head where it was clear. Weird .. yes.

I don't like eating hot, spicy food, it just ruins the pleasure of eating food for me. I want to enjoy my food, not sit there going 🥵 "Oh man, this is hot, it's really hot. It tasty good, but it's so hot." If it has a little kick to it, not enough to get to me, I'm fine, but if it's too hot and spicy, I'm not eating it.

They think America only consist of NYC and Los Angeles. If you mention upstate NY they don’t even know what that is. Don’t get me started I can go in on these UK folks. Lol
