Yeah Sacha Baron Cohen is an undeniable genius. If I were in his shoes I would mostly try to use life experiences, famous people/stereotypes and the people around me as inspiration for characters. What makes Sacha so great is that the characters he creates are extremes of actual people I could meet on the street not to mention that he also very obviously researches the guests he invites on and tries to predict what arguments and or reactions they'll have. Makes it even more funny, like the banana thing which famously is a creationist argument as to how evolution is bullshit and how god created everything for us humans (banana's are easily peeled and can be held etc) makes this funny in like 20 different ways lmao.

Being a nerd, i love this segment for one reason in particular: the "banana" comment. Kend Hovind is an infamously idiotic attention-seeking young earth creationist. They like to point out that bananas were obviously created oh-so-perfectly, to hold and to peel etc. Kent took the banana to some other level in some way i don't recall off the top of my head. But oh hey, modern bananas are the result of thousands of years of cultivation and breeding. So basically, man-made via artificial selection. Irrefutable recorded history type stuff, lol. And Sacha clearly knew of Kent's nonsense going into this discussion and had this ready to go. 😃 /ramble
