Notre Dame fans are hardcore and they travel pretty well. Yes, Notre Dame has played in Ireland multiple times. This year's game in Ireland is Notre Dame v Navy. Next year is Florida State v. Georgia Tech. 8:00 And NO, you don't want to tip or deflect a pass on purpose, cause anything can happen with a live ball, interceptions are mainly caused by deflections. That would drive your QB crazy.

Yeah, high school and college footballs are slightly smaller than an NFL ball and they have stripes. The white stripes make the ball more visible during night games. Small HS and colleges dont have the best lighting, so the stripes are helpful. The gloves have made one hand catches much easier. I wish we had them back in the 80s when I was in HS.

NFL and College balls have the exact same dimensions. Maybe it was different back in the day, but they're the same. Think about it, your hands aren't growing from 21+ years of age, so why would you draft a QB who has been spending his collegiate career throwing a smaller ball? Length, width, diameter...all the same. I'm 6'1" with average sized hands for my size, and throwing a college/NFL ball accurately at distance is NOT easy.

Then every other article says nfl balls are bigger and heavier except for one article that says opposite. But every search comes up they are two different sizes and weights. Which is enough for a pro player to notice so I dont know?

@@welrod94 I've seen conflicting information, but most say the dimensions are the same. I know the main difference is the stripe on the ball but that's just because it picks up the light better when playing at night and high schools and colleges back in the day didn't have the same level of lighting as an NFL stadium.

Great insight Daz, the NCAA (college) footballs are lighter and also have those white stripes as well. The NFL football is denser and mostly all brown on the surface.

Texas high school football also uses the striped ball. The stripes and lettering are painted on, the NFL ball is called the Duke.

Lots of technique to learn and practice--and practice at all angles, jumping, sliding, etc. and they do in fact practice one-handed catches, but one is taught to if possible of course, always try 2 hands (same in baseball when you are first learning to catch).

Hey that thumbnail is the University of South Carolina's Nate Adkins making an incredible catch that started the comeback to USC beating it's hated in-state rival Clemson (which had a 40 game home winning streak at the time). The amazing thing is that Adkins was considered a blocking tight end so they almost never threw the ball to him. Then he went and made one of the biggest catches of the year.

Hardest catch I've ever seen, was Hakeem Nicks playing at UNC (drafted and played for the Giants in the NFL, knee injury fucked his career) he was running a deep slant route, ball was thrown behind him, he saw it last second...and caught the ball with one hand behind his back. Look it up. I played WR, but only though high school. A lot of one handed catches aren't actually that hard. But it annoys me when I see receivers go for the 1 hander, when they could easily grab it with 2 at a much higher completion percentage. You'll also piss off your QB.

It's definitely legal to purposely tip the ball to a teammate as long as you don't ever have possession yourself, it's just unbelievably difficult to control where the ball actually goes on a tip in real time 😅

Yeah, it would be insane to actually call that up as a play. It's ALWAYS a happy accident. It's not like a deflection in soccer where the ball will still be in play if you don't execute the play.

Stickum used to be legal in the NFL until it was abused by some of the Raiders years ago. Now they wear gloves for better grip. It was started by Art Monk over 30 years ago who wore scuba diver gloves.

If you want to go to a college football game I suggest Georgia vs Florida it is one of the best rivalries in college football both teams hate each other with a passion the rivalry is called the world's cocktail party it's held on a neutral field in Jacksonville Florida I'm a huge Georgia bulldogs fan I hate the Florida gators with a deep passion I would love for yall to attend that game and see Georgia destroy them or go the the SEC championship game which will most likely be Georgia vs Alabama that would be a great one too I love seeing people from other countries showing interest in America football to me it's the greatest sport in the world in my opinion
