I love this song. It's equally easy to put the 1 on the bass drum and have it dominate with the snare coming on the AND of 2, 4, and 6, almost as an afterthought. Gives the whole song this beautiful ambiguous feel. Watching you figuring it out, it looks like this is how you heard it. But count it different, put the snare on the backbeat and it shifts all the bass drums to the offbeat, and suddenly the song feels faster and more urgent. This is how the song is actually written. Not sure which way I prefer it. It's just a wild piece of music. And it's great to dance to as well!
