I also have to say, he didn't really "change" his story about how the guy brandished the firearm, he just didnt demonstrate the turn when he reenacted it. The complainant party, however, had a lot of inconsistencies. The male was able to see him walk into his kitchen, which meant he would have been visible from the start. The woman said there had been several complaints from other women for approaching them and vulgar language, which turned into a noise complaint from a female neighbor. She said she didnt even bring up the aunt being involved with the guy because it just would complicate the story. Then all the drama about having her mom stay with them, because he drinks, just drama. You go knocking on someone's door to have a confrontation, expect a confrontation. No reason for the cops to get involved here, except to show they were biased and incompetent.

Depending on the state or city and whether or not the person sought a Concealed Carry License, it is not required to register as a gun owner. Now if he was suspected of having a pistol concealed on him, and a pistol was found, then it'd be reasonable to check for a CCL, because you usually do have to register as someone who carries concealed weapons when you get a CCL.

These officers need to be retrained. Cops show a clear sign of bias and the way they handled the old man was very unprofessional. Yeah the old man is a dick, but you still need to show some class as an officer of the law. The woman kicking the door and the boyfriend acting like he had a gun is intimidation and to the old man, he doesn’t know if they have a gun or not. Cops handled this very poorly.
