It’s crazy because I live in the same exact city in this video, Corona, CA, and traffic here gets fucking ridiculous because of our ramps/interchanges, plus the most impatient self centered ass hats. Seeing this I'm indeed happy that there's a federal traffic law in Germany which requires all drivers to immediately create an emergency vehicle passing lane between both driving lanes as soon as they end up in a traffic jam. This includes not waiting until they see or hear an emergency vehicle approaching from behind, also not knowing if there's an accident ahead or not. In case of more than 2 lanes leading into one direction, the emergency vehicle passing lane is supposed to be created between the far left and the next lane
@vmcougarintn50358 жыл бұрын
Shoot it's hard enough getting drivers to move over when a police vehicle has it's lights flashing, they'd never get the hand of that here. LOL Great idea though. Having to rush to a crash sight in heavy traffic is difficult and often a pain in the you know what. Officer Rob is one of the good ones!
@danmack31738 жыл бұрын
EnjoyFirefighting - International Emergency Response Videos well, pulling over is law most states and provinces Canadian law also requires moving over a lane and slowing down for stopped emergency vehicles (and soon tow trucks) but of course....there's still those people
@vmcougarintn50358 жыл бұрын
Daniel MacKinnon Where I am you are required to move over a lane for a stopped police car or emergency service vehicle - doubt they will ever add tow truck. Some people just don't get it at all though, so unless another officer of the law pulled them over for it they will just keep on truckin' right where they please. I do wish people were more considerate, and I do try to encourage it, but some folks are just stubborn.
@red46437 жыл бұрын
vmcougar in TN thankfully here in Florida it is mandatory to move over for any type of stopped emergency vehicle, including tow trucks. If moving over is not possible, you are required to slow down to a safer speed, minimum of 15-20 mph below posted. Many still refuse to obey the law sadly, but I am hoping that as more people are made aware, and the law is enforced, that it saves more lives.

You men and women are the beacons of hope to people and I just want to say thank you sincerely from the bottom of my heart. There are so many situations you face. You are heros. Thank you for the video and agreed!! It always pisses me right off when I see people ignore the sirens, try to get that few car lengths further or stop where they are instead of pulling to the right. I think that cameras should be utilized on all ems vehicles to play a role in ticketing offenders. Well deserved fines etc... Exactly! If you or a loved one were the one in crisis, would you want help quickly? Drive responsibly people.
@RKDriver7 жыл бұрын
People wonder why cops sometimes seem rude, irritable or impatient. This kind of B.S. happens somewhere every hour of everyday by your average motorist. Some people just don't see him until the last second, but like he said, there are others who make eye-contact and still refuse to do anything because they're ignorant, selfish jackasses. Some probably think he's just trying to get to the donut shop, or they think this is their moment to mess with the cops. Then some of them get irate because he's waiving the fast lane through for the medics. You can bet they would be screaming bloody murder if it was them or their loved ones needing emergency services on that freeway.
@leannespears157 жыл бұрын
RKDriver but if something happened to those jack asses that wouldn’t move they’d expect the ambulance there immediately. As a first responder that’s one of the things that pisses me off- people not moving, or people complaining when we block lanes.

No one can move. Can't even squeeze past the line a few feet, thanks to red light cameras. Thank your local government for that. You are doing what you say people do to you. You're asking for super powers. If you can barely move with lights on, what chance do you think the other guy has? You're seeing only your problem and ignoring his.

In California, it is a law to move over for emergency vehicles. Unfortunately sometimes when there is that much traffic, people either don't know about the vehicle or can't move over. EDIT: I missed something in the description: "Why didn't you just leave the sire on continuously?" Because in gridlock traffic like this, Constant siren does more harm than good. Emergency lights with intermittent siren is the best choice in this scenario. Lights and Siren means "Pull to the right". *The last thing I wanted half these cars to do was pull to the right*.

Once the ambulance arrived, you saw they parked in the third lane that the engine blocked. Great choice in music, and choice of when to sync it with the video. Excellent control of the traffic to expedite emergency response. All in all, nice video.

At first I didnt realise you were the officer on a marked police bike... then when you hit the siren I was shocked... thank you for sharing this and thank you for your persistence and much needed help... I was horrified to count at least 13 cars that you had past with your siren that jumped lanes just to feed down the one lane you were attempting to let the ambulance down... im sure there was more that I missed...

Nice, Most drivers see only the small picture, don't check their mirrors and don't keep a circle of awareness. Then are upset when they mess up. Again great job.

What an awesome job you did, I worked for roads and did the same thing only at a roundabout in the city. So glad I moved home after so many call outs.

At first, I didn't understand why you were moving only the two far lanes, but I eventually caught on. Great video!

People are so impatient. Good on you for trying to move traffic as much as possible in the left.

Awesome tunes. I love 60-70's music. That one long tune while cop me bed people along was great.
