Parth Patel Southern Cali is heavy traffic everyday haha. It’s crazy because I live in the same exact city in this video, Corona, CA, and traffic here gets fucking ridiculous because of our ramps/interchanges, plus the most impatient self centered ass hats. I couldn’t make out where this accident was, I want to say around Lincoln or Main st. Regardless, like you said pay fucking attention to your surroundings, like you would any other time, for emergency vehicles.

Seeing this I'm indeed happy that there's a federal traffic law in Germany which requires all drivers to immediately create an emergency vehicle passing lane between both driving lanes as soon as they end up in a traffic jam. This includes not waiting until they see or hear an emergency vehicle approaching from behind, also not knowing if there's an accident ahead or not. In case of more than 2 lanes leading into one direction, the emergency vehicle passing lane is supposed to be created between the far left and the next lane

Shoot it's hard enough getting drivers to move over when a police vehicle has it's lights flashing, they'd never get the hand of that here. LOL Great idea though. Having to rush to a crash sight in heavy traffic is difficult and often a pain in the you know what. Officer Rob is one of the good ones!

EnjoyFirefighting - International Emergency Response Videos well, pulling over is law most states and provinces Canadian law also requires moving over a lane and slowing down for stopped emergency vehicles (and soon tow trucks) but of course....there's still those people
@vmcougarintn5035
@vmcougarintn5035 8 жыл бұрын
Daniel MacKinnon Where I am you are required to move over a lane for a stopped police car or emergency service vehicle - doubt they will ever add tow truck. Some people just don't get it at all though, so unless another officer of the law pulled them over for it they will just keep on truckin' right where they please. I do wish people were more considerate, and I do try to encourage it, but some folks are just stubborn.
@red4643
@red4643 7 жыл бұрын
vmcougar in TN thankfully here in Florida it is mandatory to move over for any type of stopped emergency vehicle, including tow trucks. If moving over is not possible, you are required to slow down to a safer speed, minimum of 15-20 mph below posted. Many still refuse to obey the law sadly, but I am hoping that as more people are made aware, and the law is enforced, that it saves more lives.

I was in a motorcycle accident and the safest memory I have is when help arrived. Police, ambulance and fire truck. You men and women are the beacons of hope to people and I just want to say thank you sincerely from the bottom of my heart. There are so many situations you face. You are heros. Thank you for the video and agreed!! It always pisses me right off when I see people ignore the sirens, try to get that few car lengths further or stop where they are instead of pulling to the right. I think that cameras should be utilized on all ems vehicles to play a role in ticketing offenders. Well deserved fines etc... Exactly! If you or a loved one were the one in crisis, would you want help quickly? Drive responsibly people.
@RKDriver
@RKDriver 7 жыл бұрын
People wonder why cops sometimes seem rude, irritable or impatient. This kind of B.S. happens somewhere every hour of everyday by your average motorist. Some people just don't see him until the last second, but like he said, there are others who make eye-contact and still refuse to do anything because they're ignorant, selfish jackasses. Some probably think he's just trying to get to the donut shop, or they think this is their moment to mess with the cops. Then some of them get irate because he's waiving the fast lane through for the medics. You can bet they would be screaming bloody murder if it was them or their loved ones needing emergency services on that freeway.
@leannespears15

@@leannespears15 Then don't complain about the results. Traffic can't read your mind and don't know what is going on. And you are the one ensuring thousands of people are stacked up for miles. They aren't going to get at fault fender benders trying to squeeze closer and closer, even if they know your problem. I see this with fire engines at intersections with long red lights. No one can move. Can't even squeeze past the line a few feet, thanks to red light cameras. Thank your local government for that. You are doing what you say people do to you. You're asking for super powers. If you can barely move with lights on, what chance do you think the other guy has? You're seeing only your problem and ignoring his.

@@icecold9511 if people drove safely, there wouldn't be a need for the extra precaution. It's not like the policies made were just ideas some dude in an office chair decided would be best, like most rules, they're written in blood. A few 5 mph fender benders is better than someone being injured or killed. Time lost from traffic is not comparable to that of time lost from tragedy.

Don't you have any "Rettungsgasse" (Emergency corridor). Here in Germany we have to form a emergency corridor by law in case of a traffic jam so emergency vehicles get through. In California, it is a law to move over for emergency vehicles. Unfortunately sometimes when there is that much traffic, people either don't know about the vehicle or can't move over. EDIT: I missed something in the description: "Why didn't you just leave the sire on continuously?" Because in gridlock traffic like this, Constant siren does more harm than good. Emergency lights with intermittent siren is the best choice in this scenario. Lights and Siren means "Pull to the right". *The last thing I wanted half these cars to do was pull to the right*.

In Germany, it would NEVER Happen that three Ambulance is stuck between a Million of cars! As soon as the Tempolimit is lower than 30km/h, the drivers build a way for Police/ambulance ao they can get to the place as soon as possible. Not only on the Highway, everywhere. It's unbelievable that there are so many ignorant drivers at US or wherever it is
@imdatnigga9715

Yep the US. Specifically California, one of the most overpopulated states here. Lived here in this state, specifically the city where this cop recorded this, my whole life. Still have yet to get used to this traffic. It’s always beyond ridiculous. Overpopulation, people continually wanted to move here due to Hollywood and movies etc, combined with all the self centered assholes, makes it ridiculous.

phuk offndy that's Cali for you, grew up there, left in 2005, couldn't believe the difference of air makes when you move to another state. the reason for the smog is that there are Mountain all around holding it in, so it builds up

Tyson Currie I can't even imagine getting used to air that filthy. Even though millions of people seem okay with it. It must get to be unbearable during brush fires.

Old music was way better and I saw that it was a copyright free song. You should have disputed it and you would have won. In fact, check out the soundcloud comments. Somebody else had the same problem. See what the response was: soundcloud.com/cfnetworks/foxes-youth

radiosification I picked it because I thought it was copyright free.. then when the video started getting a lot of attention, all of a sudden, they hit me with a copyright claim... oh well. In the future, I want to colab with local artist and songwriters.... I wish I could use mainstream music, but Napster was the beginning of the end of that dream... gee, thanks Lars Ulrich..,

That fire engine is blocking too many lanes.
@leannespears15
@leannespears15 7 жыл бұрын
The patient was in the middle of the tow left most lanes. Rule of thumb is to block off accident lanes plus one more for room to work. Once the ambulance arrived, you saw they parked in the third lane that the engine blocked. Fire men, emts and medics all park a certain way for a reason- we don’t want anyone running over us or the patient.

At first I didnt realise you were the officer on a marked police bike... then when you hit the siren I was shocked... thank you for sharing this and thank you for your persistence and much needed help... I was horrified to count at least 13 cars that you had past with your siren that jumped lanes just to feed down the one lane you were attempting to let the ambulance down... im sure there was more that I missed...
