The first story is literally the opposite of everything we were taught in driving school. We were told to have all of our paperwork and ID ready by the time the officer gets to your window, and keep the window up until the officer gets to your car. They also teach you to just put your vehicle in park, nothing about turning it off or putting on hazard lights. 😮

Also, DO NOT admit what you were doing wrong. In some jurisdictions, that may make it mandatory for them to write a ticket, since you have confessed to a misdemeanor. Especially if they have a body cam.

@condorboss3339 exactly, you NEVER admit fault for anything in any traffic stop or accident. Don't lie, but don't accept responsibility either. My insurance company even used to send out reminders about this.

Story 29 sounds like a case of an illegal stop or search. It's as if they were searching for a reason to stop her the whole time.

My advise to being pulled over is to be a good subservient peasant to your authoritative overlords😅😢

1st story, if a cop is to nervous to stop anyone, he or she is in the wrong proffesion.

Story 10: That is a bit much for not having your headlights turned on. As this person was such a young driver, I was thinking for sure he'd get a warning about that.

Most of the time I’m able to get out of a ticket just by being polite and not arguing.

Uh, your hazards don’t run if you remove the key from the ignition 0:19

I had a date with the prettiest woman I ever went out with. We we coming back from a concert around 2 am on a Sunday morning. we were having a lively conversation and I squealed the tires going around a curve. Almost immediately, the lights came on behind me. I found a safe spot and pulled over. As luck would have it, this was in the most notorious speed trap in the whole state. The officer asked why I was speeding and I told him I was distracted by the beauty of my date. He was used to dealing with drunks at this time of morning, and I was sober. He looked at my date, and wrote me for the maximum for speeding, knocking nine miles off what he had clocked me and saving me a reckless driving charge.

I got stopped for a broken taillight. Explained that a new one was on the way but I can’t afford to miss classes. I’m autistic so I was wearing headphones and that’s how I learned driving with headphones is illegal. I’ve got sensitive hearing (can’t hear higher frequencies that you’d almost never encounter anyways but all other sounds are louder) so I can still hear background noise just fine but rules are rules. Because I was polite, explained everything, and have a fairly clean driving record I was let off with a warning.

Police are human so we should treat them as such. There doing there job just like everyone else and honestly I wouldn't want to be cop for all the money in the world, because people often suck and some of the things they have to see and experience is often the worst of humanity.

Typically cops let off people who take good care of their vehicles. Keep it washed, interior clean, and documents properly in order (do not hand them over inside of a folio or caddy, as some cops are paranoid of that for some reason).
