I think the principle is a great idea, but I'd much rather the bin had a foot pedal so that you didn't have to touch it with your hand

Big Belly, environmental ideas seem very good. I have yet to hear about, all of the surveillance technology features, it can house. We are supposed to be leaving, the past fifteen years of war, and entering a time of peace, democracy, and better sustainability. Is a new era of innovation, energy effiency, and tech. to be at the price, of giving up civil rights, and civil protections ? Why cant the ideas of accountability, and public policy guidelines, also be a part of, what is innovative, about the future of technology. As in the end, it is peace, good reasoning, and good democratic practices, that is how to define the future of sustainability, and the local community. Sustainability, is not simply technology, with a life span of 50 years. Peaceful, responsible, democratic practices, is what often gives meaning, to our lives, and to the ideas of technology. Lets learn to include, how things like civil rights and civil protections, communication, and openness, can be a part of, how tech. can be innovative.

This is bullshitt . The city already charges you, in your taxes for trash collection / management. There is something dirty between this company and the city of Philadelphia there are about a thousand of these things sitting / stored outdoors under highways in their new packaging for at least a year. Is this going to benefit tax payers, as in discounted taxes ? Absolutely not, now you have to service compactors that allegedly sit on street corners. (I have personally never seen one) Somebody is watching. I'm speculating the city and Brian Philips have a dirty deal together. $4100.00 a piece, to replace trash cans ?
