Interesting thing to mention: Zinogre is a thunder element monster, so ZinoGarurumon is a Garurumon variant that leans closer to the Eletricity of the Digiegg of friendship.

Could go a little further with that concept actually! Zinogre are always in a symbiotic relationship with Fulger Bugs, (Or Dracophage Bugs for Stygian Zinogre), that live in their fur. The Bugs produce energy that Zinogre can weaponize, while the Bugs get a powerful and protective place to call home! Talk about friends with benefits! Lol!

As a fan of both series I cannot express enough just how friggin happy and hyped this crossover makes me. RathGreymon and ZinoGarurumon are the perfect fusions of the Digimon and Monsters (I actually agree, ZinoGarurumon really looks more Gabumon than Garurumon did). I SO HOPE they do have their own Omegamon, like, "ElderOmegamon" (in reference to Elder Dragons)

Maybe not the monsters themselves, but it wouldn't surprise me if at some point Wilds released an event that gave Digimon inspired weapons/armour sets. My friend and I were discussing this right after we saw the release and think there's a lot of potential for sets: an angewomon bow, wargreymon dual blades, kabuterimon insect glaive, zudomon hammer, to name a few we came up with.

So Rathalos is the Monster Hunter series Flagship monster. With it being a Flying Wyvern and having the title of "King of the Skies" due to how common the Rathalos species is. And something interesting is that Rathalos was created to be a better version of the the flying wyvern Rathian which has been made the "Queen Of the Land" to act as a female counterpart of Rathalos. Edit: Also before I forget, Rathalos is Fire Element while Zinogre is Lighting Element. Which makes LaecusGreymon and ZinoGarurumon both the same elements as V-Mon's Courage and Friendship Armors.

Rathian is more of "quen of land" she don't fly to much and uses of her tail poison to fight. There build it's also different rathalos have smal leg and biger but less spike in his tail. Rathian have biger leg and smaler fur in her back also more poisons spike in her tail.

I'm glad I am not the only person who's first thought on seeing these guys was "man, these would be such cool cards in the TCG". RathGreymon I could see as a level 5 Red+Blue DNA Digivolver that also has "3 from level 4 with [Greymon] in name" and an effect condition like "X, then if DNA Digivolving or if [Greymon] is in this Digimon's digivolution cards, Y" ZinoGarurumon would probably be the same except as a Blue+Yellow DNA target. And while I'm just throwing ideas out there; I think Omedamon could work as kind of a level 6 Kimeramon, like you can evolve into it with any 2 level 5s regardless of color.

To be fair, outside of his iconic bone helmet thing, there isn't a lot to Greymon's design that isn't already present in Rathalos. Maybe he could be more orange, or have inherited Greymon's more vertical stature and put the wings on his back like MetalGreymon's, but overall there isn't a lot of Greymon's design to inherit here.

I could see WarGreymon's Dramon Destroyers being dual blades in Wilds. I also wouldn't count ZinoGarurumon and RathGreymon out of Wilds just yet. We have had some pretty Crazy crossovers in Monster Hunter. You can beat Monsters up as Ryu, Sakura, Akuma, Link, Chrom, Lucina, Samus Aran, Jotaro Kujo(Palico) and more. There's also Resident Evil and even a Metal Gear Rex as an actual Monster. Nothing is truly out of the question when it comes to Monster Hunter crossovers.

I loved it as a kid, but there weren’t cool games (that I knew about), huge gaps in the anime, it just kinda fell behind. I always loved it still, and when I stumbled across your videos my love of Digimon was reignited. As a huge MH and Digimon fan, this is incredible to me!!! I've been out of the loop because I'm trying to go into MH Wilds as spoiler free as possible, so this took me completely by surprise, but I am all for it, 1000%!!!! The Monster Hunter team is really good for doing fun and interesting events for franchise crossovers (the FFxMHW is a modern gen example that springs to mind), so it's not impossible that RathaGreymon or ZinoGurumon could be in the game as post story events. It would make sense considering the creative effort put in to those designs. Though managing expectations, I would probably expect something more akin to Rookie Palico skins. Maybe a Garurumon skin for the new Seikret mount perhaps? Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to feed my fangirl brain with more adventure partner-MH monster jogress ideas!!! *Skips happily away*

You already mentioned in the video how ZinoGaurumon having yellow scales and other repitile elements alongside the blue wolf fur makes it arguably more of a "true" evolution for Gabumon then Gaurumon itself being purely wolf (Glad to see i'm not the only person who noticed this) but If it is a Perfect/Ultimate stage instead of a Adult/Champion, then it'd be great as a Raidramon/Lighdramon evolution, or one for Runnermon: All are sort of quadrupedal reptile-mammal monsters with electrical traits, which is kinda a wierdly specific monster theme that Digimon keeps doing, but every time it's been a awesome design, so i'm not complaining! I def do think ZinoGarurumon is the better of the two crossover jogresses, as well: It feels like a much more organic mix of Zinogre and Garurumon, wheras LaeusGreymon sorta just feels like Rathalos with a Greymon head slapped onto it. I feel like a Greymon X Tigrex design might have worked a little better, since both are orange with blue stripes and Tigrex has more of a dinosaur head then a dragon one?

Bandai should double down and cross-over their own stuff. Digimon X Dark Souls for SIC would be dope. Digimon X Dragon Ball, I can already see the dinosaur digimon drawn in a Toriyama style. Digimon X Gundam. Something like Royal Knights X Mecha Suits, that's something waiting to happen. Digimon X One Piece. Chopper as a Rookie Digimon, why not. Digimon X Pacman. Agumon with a round face running after colorful Bakemon. All of these would probably be easier to get than MH and Medabots were. And as dope as both of those new Digimon are, it's a shame they'll probably be locked in a forever jail after this.

They take the basic "for kids" designs, and re-imagines them to be all sharp and edgy. I think pretty much the same, making intricate versions of the more humanoid digimons and putting them into an action RPG.

I wish that every license crossover like this that involves hybrid character designs would be set up so both sides of the collab could use that character/design in perpetuity even after the collab. Imagine how rad it'd be if you were playing some medabots game and that omnimon medabot variant showed up. Digimon Hunters game wouldn't be against the Ethos because you can make it in a way where you as the player fight with a Digimon of your choosing and any Digimon you defeat you obtain their data to unlock upgrades and paths to strengthen and evolve your Digimon partner.

Monster Hunter is going crazy with the crossovers, there is a rathalos prime that was announced.

I refuse to believe they would go that hard to make that greymon x rathalos and garuru x zinogre without them being put as free dlc in wilds. There is ALWAYS a bunch of cool crossovers in monster hunter so at the minimum I am expecting a palico gear that looks like agumon/gabumon. (PLEASE BANDAI AND CAPCOM I AM BEGGING DON'T LET ME BE WRONG)

They also don't tend to announce any of the dlc stuff till either extremely close to the release of a mh game or after the game is out... so we do have hope that's why they weren't shown

I love this collab!! Zinogarururmon definitely is my favorite of the two! If I put the Digimon V-pet in my pocket… does it mean it’s now a pocket digital monster? 😂

I could see a digimon hunter thing being more of a bounty hunter situation, to be honest. Digimon are intelligent after all, and chances are that some digimon want other digimon dealt with, what with all the mustache twirling evil digimon out there plotting to conquer whatever it is they're plotting to conquer.
