(OFFICIAL) DZO Arles Prime 100mm Showcase (BEHIND THE SCENES)

Here is a fun little BTS video during my opportunity to shoot the 100mm showcase for the DZO Arles Primes last month on an Arri Alexa LF! 🎥✨
There wasn't a budget and we just used whatever gear we had access to. Just a nice casual day with a lot of lovely people and a ton of fun :)
To me, a large part of what sets the DZO Arles Primes apart is their ability to achieve an IMAX-like depth of field at T/1.4 while shooting on the LF sensor in open gate mode. The combination of the Arri Alexa LF and these lenses allows for a depth of field comparable to that of large format lenses used on 65mm cameras, but with the added benefit of a faster T-stop.
Yes, there are a few full-frame lenses out there that can achieve this T-stop, but I find that the Arles Primes perform incredibly well wide open and maintain a sharp yet pleasing painterly quality without being sterile. I'm ordering a set and feel like these lenses will be a vital part of my creative toolkit moving forward.
