​@AirtimeAxolotl the only other time it happened from my memory besides the instance you talk about is six flags Great Adventures free spin was not Joker but instead another theme and they changed it a couple months later but at least they changed it before wasting on painting it

So the name was changed to fit the area. It now goes with Dahlonega Mine Train. Makes less sense for an Ultra Surf, but at least they're giving us better theming (hopefully)

Probably to build hype back up after it didn't open in 2024, so its got that "new" feel. They paid more money to repaint and rename everything, which is interesting.

Sfog is my home park and when I saw there was a new ride I was so excited just to realize it’s just rethemed Georgia surfer. I do like the new name and theme better tho

I grew up in Atlanta. This makes sense because mine train is right there. It fits so much better. Now what would be amazing is if they theme that whole section to look like that. Add some lanterns and wooden trash cans around. Some candy apple stands etc. it would be pretty cool.

Now that Six Flags has full ownership in not surprised they are putting their stamp on the park right away. Hopefully this is the first of many changes for a park that needs plenty of them.

They aren't a theme park, they are an amusement park. This makes 0 sense. Splasheater falls wasn't related to the minetrain, this one doesn't have to be either. This is pure mismanagement plain and simple.
