Worst experience on a coaster I've ever had so far, I remember the details like it was yesterday. I never screamed out of fear, pain, and agony before. I felt my entire body breaking before me, shivering at the fact that you have to stand on a ride after waiting in line, standing. (I'm dumb, I know.) Yet I was somehow encouraged to go on- I can still hear the words "Do it for the credit" echoing in my head as I walk up in line. Fortunate enough, or unfortunately, there was no line. I tried to think positive, and attempted to be in a crouching position, but the restraints prevented me from doing so. I sighed, looking to my left as the train goes up the lift hill. I wonder to myself, 'Why did I agree to do this? Why can't I just go on Superman again instead?' I continue to watch the happy faces on the B&M flying coaster, glistening in its newly red-painted coat of track. The pre drop came, and I pretend to be excited, holding on to my last hopes. The drop was the most shallow drop on an extreme coaster, I became instantly from hopeful to disappointed. By the time the train went through the first inversion, it was nothing but a train ride from hell from their on, till the end. I felt like I was trapped in my own personal hell, receiving pain from every part of my body as the B&M stand-up coaster jerks me around. My head bangs, my knees quiver, my neck is twisted, my spine is slammed constantly against my seat, and my balls were crushed. The ride felt like it went on for an eternity, I realized this on the mid-break. About what seemed to be ever since the day it was first placed on the New Jersey land, I finally was released from the clutches of evil, waddling in pain. I quickly took some Advil and sat in the shade for times of healing. And to this day, the fact, although scarce, there's more of this model (including a possibly even worse one in Carowinds), haunts me. Enough of my story-telling ass, ride this ride with caution.

If you’re a masochist this is the ride for you, you won’t be able to walk correctly after riding this. But to be honest the first part of the ride isn’t even bad, once you get to the middle and end the blood rushing to your legs starts getting unbearable and just ruins the whole experience.

I don't mind the standing up part. That's not the part that's uncomfortable, at least not for me. The part that's bad is how much it bangs your head around. Save the time and ride Medusa in the front row instead. Similar type of ride, except floorless, not standing, and it's WAY smoother, especially in the front row.

In every rollercoaster with over the shoulder restraints like this, I lean with my chest into the restraints and I grab my left wrist with my right hand. So your arms are basically wrapped around the restraints. You can seriously take a punch then. The only vacations I do are amusement parks around the world, so I've been on some véry rough rides. And since I've been locking my arms like that, I haven't banged my head once. I would rather have sour arms from holding on too tight than a headache. I hope this helps! 🙂

I miss this ride when it was Chang at Kentucky kingdom... Rode it probably nearly 200 times as a kid. I only found out recently that Green lantern, did used to be Chang. Was hoping to make a trip to great adventure and ride it one more time and now they are demolishing it. All my favorite rides have all become demolished the last few years. Sucks

I went on this ride twice. The first time I felt like my ears got boxed in I can't imagine how a boxer with cauliflower ear must feel. Not to mention my crotch felt sore. A few weeks later I thought I might give it another chance. The second time it was still painful, although my ears didn't hurt, my crotch was still a little sore, I had the seat a little lower this time too. But this time I had a pain in my calves that I didn't notice until I got off and started walking. On a good note though it feels like I've been hitting the gym. Even two days later my calves have a good "work out" kind of sore

A lot of people complain about the head banging on this ride. And how rough it is. Makes me imagine, what if SFGA called bolliger and mabillard to have sit down trains replace the stand-up trains? Would it improve the quality of the ride?

It would improve the ride 100 fold if they used sit down or floorless trains. The problem is the park already had Bizzaro, so there’s no point in having the park have two coasters of the same type with a different layout. It would be better if Green Lantern was relocated to a park without a floorless coaster, and converted to floorless by B&M.

Honestly, I went on this ride today (and I’m a teen) and it’s not as bad as everyone makes it seems. It hurts your legs after you get off, but standing up makes it so much more thrilling. Sure, the ride may have kinks to work out for maximum fun, but it was one of the funnest rollercoasters I’ve been on.

I was willing to give this ride a chance, even though I had bitter feelings towards it since it replaced the Great American Scream Machine, which was my favorite coaster in the park. And after riding it, ... Yeah, I would've rather still had Scream Machine here. Not a fan. It's too bad, 'cause this actually could've been a good coaster, if not for one MAJOR issue. Believe it or not, I had no problem with my legs or "lower regions" hurting. But the HEAD BANGING! My God! That was almost Mind Eraser-level head banging! I got off of this with a worse headache than I ever did on Scream Machine!

This ride has a lot of mixed reviews whether to ride it or not i personally think this ride is good if you do what they say and try as hard as possible to stay standing it’s smooth but a lot people are discouraged to ride this coaster because of its trains which are stand up coasters which aren’t know for being the most comfortable because it’s a unnatural position to be in while riding a coaster that goes 154ft up in the air but I’d say ride it a lot of people say it’s a one time thing so your never going to ride it again but I would definitely ride this again

I've ridden Green Lantern within the last 11 years and on my first day on Green Lantern which was 11 years ago i ridden Green Lantern 24 times within 6 hours without leaving the coaster. That was on one of the 4 days for season pass holders to ride this coaster before it open to the public.

I stood in line for 45 mins (the longest line in the park that day) and thought the concept of the “stand up coaster” was cool and gave it a shot. And boy was I wrong!! This is by far the worst roller coaster in the park. This banged my head so bad and every time we hit the loop my legs felt like they were about to break! 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻 it would def be better if it was a sit down type coaster. I will not ride again.

If they didn't have Medusa then it would have made sense, like a Mantis-to-Rougarou scenario, but with Medusa being there it wouldn't make sense to have 2 floorless coasters.

I kept hitting my head to the sides of the headrest. And I work out every day. Not an F1 pilot but I have a strong enough body to keep myself in form. The only ride that I wouldn't recommend at Six Flags is this one unless they fix the problem.

Ain’t gone lie, I don’t like rollercoasters didn’t grow up on them to get use to them I guess but I’ve been on a few including this one and for some reason after I’m on them I get a rush and want to do it again after it over 🤷🏾‍♂️

I went on this last weekend and I will NEVER AGAIN go on a stand up coaster. My legs were SCREAMING during and even after it was done. This ride needs to be shut down immediately

I was a kid when I rode on this and I hated it because the thing that’s supposed to keep you latched in when your standing was coming loose on me so it was almost coming off and during the mid point of the ride it almost came off but I used all my strength to pull it back and the speed of the ride was making It hard but I did and I didn’t go on it again after that
