I like this game a lot. It's very addictive! The most frustrating thing though is the lack of speed in cycling through all the weapon options. They'd be nice as little easter eggs, but I'm not ever going to use a bow, arrow, knife, or grenades against helicopters; especially when I have a pistol with unlimited ammo. The amount of time it takes to cycle thru all those weapon choices gets me killed in later levels. This isn't intended to be a challenge, yet I die more to this than anything. If I don't want to ever use a certain default weapon, LET ME DISABLE IT!

I understand your frustrations. When I firsted started speedrunning this game, I avoided collecting unnecessary weapons like the plague due to the fact that you have to scroll through them despite the weapons never being used. However, as I developed faster and more advanced speedrunning strats, I found that grenades are excellent against drones, resulting in a one-shot KO. This sliced off a huge amount of time. Depending on your RNG/luck you might also find yourself lacking powerful weapons to take on the stronger helicopter at the end of each area, so a situation strat is to use your bow&arrow to conserve ammunition. All in all, throughout my many runs, there are many more strategies to be discovered. I am constantly trying to improve my gameplay despite currently holding the world record for this game.

I believe you are referring to the first stage? If so, that's the tutorial and all weapons are unlocked for it. The weapons then get taken away when you proceed into the first stage at 0:47
