Great video. Well explained. I managed to repair my niece's handset when she thought it was a write off! Only problem I had was the rear camera not working. Thorough videos....my "go to" for screen replacement. I saw you "struggling" with one of the screws (the last cover you put back on). You might suggest in future videos that it's helpful to turn the screw to the left, as if you're loosening it, until you hear the threads click...THEN tighten. Prevents screwing it in at the wrong angle.

Very great tutorial! I’ve already ordered my replacement from ifixit, didn’t see this video til after but oh well, still a much better and in depth tutorial. Theirs seems to already come with the front camera assembly, so it looks like I only have to transfer over the home button, which looked a lot less tedious than the camera assembly lol

Hi- I recently replaced a screen on my iPhone8. Didn’t have any apparent problems at first but I’ve since realised that whenever I use contactless Apple Pay the touchscreen becomes inactive straight after. I then have to do a restart. Do you know if there’s any way to resolve this? Many thanks

Help! I am at wits end on getting the home button connection to line up so that I can snap the 2 pieces together. I have tried for hours. I worry about pushing the connectors together if they are not perfectly lined up and damaging them as a result. Any suggestions???

I have read that to replace the screen you need a machine which can copy the data from the original screen to the new one. And if we don’t do this the new screen will be ‚ghosting‘ or something like that. Is it true?

if its the same as the iPhone 6 and 6s then it can be replaced and will function as a home button should. Except touch id will no longer work.

incorrect. on the 7 and 8 replacing the button is purely for cosmetic reasons now. unlike the 6 and 6s, it will not function any longer after replacement
