Kel already shows symptoms of depression tbh, he just probably also has ADHD instead of anxiety like Sunny does. this is why he endeavors so hard to solve other people's problems, be cheery at all times, etc. it's common for ADHD people with depression to distract themselves from their own problems by trying to involve themselves in everyone else's - this can also give them a false sense of security, feeling that they are a "good person" for helping so many people, when in reality the one that needs the most help is them. source: am an ADHD person suffering from depression, this is all stuff my therapist has told me

Nah IMO Mari and Sunny is a lot sadder, and Maris death is the most impactful than anyone else’s tbh. Mari was very close with everyone except maybe Kel, but they had a few things in common. They both liked sports, both were pranksters, and Mari and Kel where pretty much siblings, they’ve known eachother their whole lives. Hero isn’t as close with Sunny, Basil, or Aubrey.

@@letskilliceagebaby291 yes, as much as I loved working on this, the original left a strong impact on me too. Being the oldest/ big sister to not one but two younger brothers. 5 years and 10 years apart. The one who has the 10 year gap reminded me so much of Sunny, and I really connected with Mari as the big sister who loves her brother so much. That coupled with the self-loathing dialogue in the final battle between Omori and Sunny hitt reeeeeal close to home. It made me remember when I was at my lowest and thought similarly... and almost took the... how do I say it... the 'bad ending' route on myself in real life. Had me crying so much had to turn off my camera and sound while that same yiungest brother (who introduced me to the game) was watching me play. And pretty much sobbed all the way to the secret ending. I was sad, angry, and happy all at the same time... and this game (not to be cliché, but it's true) helped to give me the extra push to keep on learning to love, forgive, accept, and change myself for the better. Omori gave me strength I never thought a game could give me. I'm grateful for it, and can say that it is my ultimate favorite game as an adult. Haven't had something impact me like that since kingdom hearts 1 and 2. It's worth the play if you struggle with what Sunny/ Omori did inside, it's a masterpiece ✨️ 🥰🥲

@@AdamTaylor12 Hello! Late response, however theres a lot of ways to train for high notes on horn! A major way is to really focus on fast and consistent airflow rather than just tightening chops. Actually warming up and practicing the extreme low range helps with the high range, as they use the same principle. Fast controlled air, rather than just chops. The more you work at it, the more comfortable your high range will get! Lip slurs and low range are the keys (At least for me) to getting a clearer high range

I don’t really have any ideas at the moment so I’m just gonna repost what I said in the last preview, but when I do I’ll make sure to edit my comment when I think of any lol. I have some ideas! Maybe instead of Kel being as depressed as Sunny, maybe he’s a little less cheerful and more calm like Hero, and even acts like him as a way to cope (because he thinks he has to take the role of the big brother of his friend group now), but occasionally has flashbacks/hallucinates stuff (more so than Sunny) that has to do with his brother and constantly tries to avoid them by running away or covering it up with the good ol’ “haha i’m totally fine” whenever someone asks if he’s okay. Also, the hallucinations should probably happen often in kitchens (because cooking) and maybe one or two times during a picnic. And instead of Something it could be a monochrome/slightly grey Hero (because Kel would never imagine his brother as a spooky ghost demon, probably) which maybe has more dialogue options when interacting with him than just jumpscares/disappearing as soon as you see him. And as for Hero’s death, I have absolutely no idea, but it probably has to do with cooking. Maybe he accidentally set the house on fire while cooking and didn’t survive? I haven’t thought much about it yet but it’s pretty funny lol.

Here's my idea: Omori as normal still happens during this route, and Sunny's the one who helps Kel frame hero's death. I feel like Mari shouldn't be coming back from college until the final day of the run, after the gang gets Aubrey to come out of her shell. Kel wouldn't have a Hikkikomori route, but his dreams would be far more vivid. This would instead also be a 4 day structure, where Kel is hanging out with Basil on day one, but after talking with him more, Basil gets super hesitant on Kel, as he's more vocal than Sunny. Day 2 would then be Omori as normal, but Basil would basically be running away from both Sunny and Kel. Final day would be Mari getting the group together to check on Basil, Sunny fights Basil to the death, and Kel is confronted with a similar scene, and this is where the final sequence with Kel starts, and I think it would be one fight with Omori, and then another with his own version of Omori.

I wonder how this AU would work (If they’re still carrying their own personalities from the Omori then) Basil would still be himself but I guess for timid Aubrey would still dye her hair pink but wouldn’t become how she would in Omori Sunny would most likely be the one to get Kel out of his house Mari would take the role of Hero entirely (not many changes) I still believe Basil would be the ones taking the Photos and Sunny would still have a crush on Aubrey Headspace would more or less be the same but with Mari and Sunny this time (Still believe Basil would be more of a side character) The incident would be different (French horn would be dented by hitting Hero with it) Faraway town Aubrey wouldn’t exist since she wouldn’t be out there after… That Basil would still sorta be a shut in Sunny and Mari would be as usual but Mari wouldn’t be her old self and Sunny would just be Sunny.

Hero and Kel are like me and my older brother. And I seriously mean that (except I'm not athletic and my older brother wasn't into cooking growing up). Kel is my favorite character because I see myself in Kel (it's frustrating to me that people just see him as always happy himbo when there's clearly so much more to his character), and I always thought Hero reminded me of my older brother. Later, my older brother told me that Hero was his favorite character because he could see himself in Hero and Kel reminded him of me. The thought of losing my older brother like this is honestly devastating. I can't even fathom what that would be like. He is such a good role model and I've always looked up to him. Especially so young. And with my best friend there. He already moved away less than a year later from that time in my life. My mom lost her older sister when she was a teenager. She's talked about how hard that was for her. I can't even imagine.

In some ways an AU like this is way harder to think about because Kel is such a silly happy guy, and to think of him losing his spark is SAD. Sunny becoming a hikkikomori is not unthinkable since he was already a shy sad boi.
