My favorite part of this is that the only real "requirement" of the build is dual Mosaic. That's a small barrier to entry, but it's nothing like other endgame builds that require Infinity, or Grief, or Enigma, or some other combination of high runes to really start farming.

I think that's one of the things they would need to address if they decide to tune the build down. 2 gul 2 mal to be players 1-5 hell viable immediately is pretty rough.

Thanks to you Llama I found a method of playing my Phoenix strike Assassin instead of focusing on every single charge for massive dmg only focus on a few charges for still great dmg. I like Claws of Thunder 3 with the Nova mixed in with the chargebolts because they shred through a large pack of enemies even on p8.

Not even using sunders on my build. Haven't noticed any need for them. Melts everything even with immunity. Don't even use fire charges. Physical damage crushes light and cold immunes. I use upped gores. Love this build.

I've noticed this too, and I don't even need to run fade with all the leach from cobra strike/tiger strike. I suppose if I ever get enigma running fade would'nt be a big deal. Right now, burst of speed is required to keep my charges up.

Yeah. I chose not to run sunder as well. Didnt find the benefit to outweigh the cost of having to offset lightning res.

My buddy crafted an insane 2/20 martial arts ammy with cold res and i crafted a pair of 2ma dual res gloves with strength, so i can run max weapon block (56%) and max res. It's especially nice and feels safe in hardcore. Love this build very much

I love that you say the charges last up to 14-15 seconds, I play from Australia, and It takes me between 30-45 seconds to change acts, so I would have to stack my charges in which ever act I need to kill in.

Yeah I could see Kira's Guardian being used here and then you can use 2 rings that add +1 to all skills to make up for Kira's not having any plus to skills. Such as a BK ring and an SOJ for an example or 2 BK rings for even more life.

you can even get to 102 fcr break point with Rings and Crafted amu which i personally prefer , 102 fcr smooths out and speeds up the teleports , feels so much better

To my knowledge running a charged COT is a dps loss. Since its on the NHD list with PS (and itself) you end up making one source deal no damage, and since you are kicking at 3 or 4 frames by the time the NHD clears you are already hitting with another set of charges. PS2 hits harder than COT so I just run PS2 and no charges (still have skill investment) on COT. Personally i like the FOF 1 point build as the Tiger strike levels more than make up for the loss in fire damage, and boosts leech for more survival.

Prior to Enigma putting a point in dragon flight is very worth it for mobility and keeping charges up, extra nice if you can get it on one of your claws. Dragon flight is a better tele since it kills what you land on but you need a monster. Still better than nothing pre enigma lol.

Also getting 20 FCR or even 45 FCR is really nice pre enigma since dragon flight uses FCR breakpoints now

Was thinking the same thing. Dragon Flight seems a really nice way to close gaps. Also... does it work like a teleport where your merco stacks on top of you when you use Dragon Flight or not? Will soon have the Runes to make me 2 Mosaics. Just need 1 more Mal... Will try to get a claw with Dragon Flight and an other with Mind Blast just so I dont have to put points in there.

@@Stompy1984 Yes, it's just teleport but with a homing kick on landing. It's actually incredible for enemies that are running away from you since it hits 100%. I have Mind blast on one of my claws but honestly I have never used it since the MA sin is so OP.

I enjoy using Kira's for the massive resists and CBF. My cast speed is crap but having mained zon last season I find the sin Tele speed an upgrade regardless

With arachnids and swap with wiz spike and 35 fcr spirit you can get decent tele speed. Thats probably best setup for MF farming IMO. I just deal with slow tele once I get charges up tho.

The nice thing about Mosaic, it's so OP you don't need to min max, any choice is right as long as you run 2 Mosaic, you'll clear any content. You might need a bit more survivability if you try Ubers, other than that you are golden!

@@Cave-a-lier yeah well many items breaks the game, sadly Mosaic is kinda easy to make and change the gameplay a lot. See it like an other option to end game. At least it's a completely different gameplay over any other build.

Personally I maxed tiger strike and keep fist of fire at lvl32 with battle command and the leach is still insane and tiger add over 2500% physical damage which converts 96% to fire my attacks are 15k-53k per kick

Really getting into the weeds here, but if I ran fists of fire and then used Dragon Tail as a finisher, it seems that Dragon Tail would add exactly 0 Fire damage to the finisher because 0 physical damage was done due to fist of fire conversion. Sound accurate?

This build this season has netted me my best drops in 15 years. Self farmed hell cows, transmuted up to an Ohm rune, made a perfect Call to Arms and sold it for 10 ber runes.

@MrLlamaSC: Do you also experience game crashes when attacking with PS 1 (Meteor) mixed with other attacks? (Max graphic settings). I was able to repruduce 100% within 1 or 2 attacks. Solution was very simple: reducing VFX lightquality from ultra to high. Rest still maxed. Almost never dips below 100 fps (sometimes below 50 fps before) and game doesn't crash anymore. Maybe this works for others, too and maybe even with the Shenk killing fireworks crash that many players experience... I hope it helps and if yes: please forward to Blizzard. Finally finished Phoenix strike assassin in Hell after 3 weeks of grueling gameplay. I don't have D2 Resurrected so I had to do it with budget gear and the old version of Phoenix strike. Even without Mosaic and Phoenix strike releasing all charges with 3 kicks, this build is a major glass cannon. The ancients was the toughest part since you cannot goto town or leech life/mana with this build. Especially bringing down meteors on the bosses was the way to go.

I have finally stopped looking for perfect +skills claws to do those and i am getting a skill to operate it quickly without enigma. An hour of some slight ajdustments like some +mf to get at least 100 and gettting a hustle instead of treachery to run quicker and after few quick p7 chaos runs I have found my first Mara's (+27) which i'm not using with my assassin as I have a semi gg rare one with +3max dmg and +50poison dmg, 10 dex, 20all res + 8fire res with +2ass skills. And i won't probably wear it with my other chars as well, but for holy grail's sake that's a great success!

I had no idea FoF was converting all my phys damage. I recently swapped from CB gear to +/- Light gear and thought I was missing out on cobra because the gear swap but Clearly it was all the +skill gear putting me over 30 FoF

Eth Mancatcher or Thresher(or giant thresher) infinity.15 IAS fire res jewel in Andy and a fortitude. I've heard about 3os helms with life leech. If you can get ahold of that and put Ed/IAS jewels in it that would be cool. The problem with treatury is until you proc fade it's not all that great on the defensive side of things. If you do go treatury and high IAS then I think Man catcher is more weak and thresher is better and giant poleaxe is best, for damage at least. It's all about where you hit the breakpoints with jab and if you care about attack speed the most in order to proc crushing blow against bosses(which I don't really care a whole lot about nor have I tested). Mancatcher would be the best for that.

Why Nat's boots and not Gores? Is it for the resistances and the 40%frw? Wouldn't up'd Gores give you higher dps? Or Shadow Dancers maybe? Just curious why you chose Nat's versus any of the other choices available to you...

Why not draculs on glooves and goreriders on boots ??? And is mecessary 2 sunders at the same time on It ? FCR in amulet is better for teleport. And If you run a COH ETH sacred armor on your mercenary with prayer with andariels with facet 15 IAS + 40 ED and ETH infinity you can survive in ALL places and dont need to Go like Crazy looking for resistance.

I was confused as well, but i assume the part of the build are two claw weapons with Mosaic Runeword, each giving 50% change not to consume the charges and the game probably sums it up to 100% chance and the mechanism works like the timer is reset and you have fresh new charges.

As ypure leveling and gearing up, its probably good to note that you will wanna run burst of speed and leech over fist and if you build up 3 charges on Phoenix while running leech you wont get the leech. Idk why, its just my experience on it. Drop the fist charge and live, LIVE I SAY!

Really struggling to figure out if I want to run this character or not this season. I think its worth trying. Keeping charges up can be difficult. Honestly though, this build shreds cows better even than javazon. Especially terror zone cows... no better build imo. Thats why i switched back to this build. Was running terror cows and was watching MA sins just melting them... and being in the perfect spot to pick up the best drops as its a melee frontline type build.

@@nicholassauer2612 I just built into it today actually. The damage is wild but without enigma if you stop to look at an item, or have to backtrack at all you lose your stacks. Dunno I just wish I could kick the air and refresh them, still might be too annoying. I'll keep playing with it but I might just put it on the shelf until I can afford an enigma. I picked up a few Ignore Defence claws for the switch so I can get the charges reliably which I thought was a good idea.

@LiquidFiend can use dragon flight to go from mob pack to mob pack. But your right. This isnt a build for someone that likes to inspect each new drop or stop and "smell the roses". Neither is this a good build for someone that likes to watch the graphics of the game while they play, as you literally cannot see anything. Keeping the charges up can be super annoying but there are variants of the build that only require a couple charges. Such as just using phoenix strike and tiger bonus. I think MrLama even gives some tips for that. But yeah, this build is rewarding to people that wanna play at 100% speed 100% of the time and can manage a lot of hotkeys. There are versions that can play almost as effectively with less skills, to make losing charges hurt less.

I tried this build and gave up on it very quickly. It was just toooo bright, where you couldn't see monsters, drops, or anything. Very frustrating in group play as well. I am hoping that Blizzard will tone down the brightness some, by lets say about 85-90%.

as awesome as this build is you really have to keep hitting monsters or the charges wear off. I find it the most annoying thing to go down a dead end and know by the time I make it back out to more monsters I will have to build up the charges again. Building up charges is when she is the most vulnerable and probably should get me a CTA with this build.

Dunnow about Tiger but Cobra Strike doesn't leech anymore because it only leeches on phys dmg. With 33=< your phys damage will be converted 100% to fire.

To use life tap off dracs can you just not use the fist of fire charges? Keep it high level for meteor damage synergy but not use the charges to make sure your kicks can make use of life tap for uber bosses?

Enigma. Per usual on classes without teleport. Makes the class shine once you can keep charges up just by teleporting from mob pack to mob pack.

I don't understand... I keep dying BEFORE I can even build up my charges. Everything in hell keeps 2-3 shotting me. I don't have any resist charms. But I do have over 400 vitality points. What gives? Also, my Magic Find % is virtually nothing with this build. Nothing good ever drops.
