This song is in my top 3 of band maid songs. It’s hard to top. I stopped trying to keep up with the lyrics in band maid songs. They’re fun when I do look at them, but they’re just part of the songs for me now. Her vocals are just another powerful instrument to enjoy

Absolutely. Band Maid are a band when you first hear a new song, you think, OH My gosh, How good can this song get, then, you think , "my gosh, how can you end a perfect song like this without it bringing me down" and then they end it like wrapping an amazing gift and then add a beautiful ribbon with a beautiful bow".

Whether or not people of the world are willing to recognize it, in my opinion, Band Maid is one of the greatest bands of all time! There is simply no limit as to what they can do musically. Your reaction reminds me of Ryan Mear reacting to the song Unfair Game and how pissed off he was that no one had suggested the song to him. But the fact of the matter is you can be 100 songs into the Band Maid catalog and the will still be blowing your mind. With that being said I suggest Unfair Game (a hidden gem "B side") there is a good fan cam video available on you tube. 🎶🎸🥁🎸🎶🔥🙂🕊

It took me ages to work out why I can keep on playing the tracks from this band over and over and never get bored. Each song has several different elements and ideas within it. An album's worth of ideas in one song. Every song needs three or four reactions just to cover the basics. Love the enthusiastic reactions. We all share the enthusiasm.

My #1 Band-Maid song. It began with Kanami (Lead Guitar/chief composer) assigning the rest of the band "homework", taking all their ideas, and combining them into one song. This masterpiece was the result.

“Blooming” is one of the Band Maid songs best served (so far) by the music video. Top tier Maid right here. The more you hear it, the more you’ll love it. Notice how they never duplicate music in the verses. They write songs as if they will be instrumentals and just add lyrics to the recipe The cousin of this song, from the same album with similar instrumental sound is “Bubble.” Please keep that one in your back pocket

Thanks so much for the reaction to one of my top 10 favorite songs.😊 I too have had several KZbin recommendations for Band-Maid, but ignored them for about a year, thinking they were just an idol band with decorative instruments, but then one day I saw the video for "Alone" and was blown away. I regretted it so much that I didn't see it sooner.😅 Also, they did an acoustic live online on December 25, 2021, and will do another one on the 20 of this month, They are also great at acoustic playing.🤘 I'm a Japanese Maidiac, please forgive my poor English!🙇♂️

Always a brilliant reaction. A little gem in this one is the videography. Notice that there are no full facial shots of any of the Maids for the first part of the song. They are all cropped, or out of focus, or in darkness, or covered by hair. Only after Kanami's first solo do we see them in all their beauty. So cool. So here's a bit of emotional blackmail for you Amie. When you react to my favorite double live video of theirs, 'Manners/Black Hole', I will sub to your channel. Ha!Ha! But seriously it is an important video for you to watch in the Bandmaid journey. Cheers.

Welcome to the club! I discovered them about four years ago thru channels like this. I love watching newbies react and become Maidiacs. I'm a 60 something and was able to see them live last Spring in Atlanta. Probably the best live show I've seen in all my many years. Of course it helped being 3rd row from stage between Misa & Miku. You need to make seeing them live a bucket list item. So very talented and they have a ton of fun on stage. Buckle up, you only have around 120 reactions left to do. Enjoy!!!

BAND MAID reminds a lot of people about a lot of bands. Depending on the song you are reminded of different band. Each member of BAND MAID has a variety of bands that they heard or followed as they grew up. Example: MISA has 2 (not 1) Jimi Hendrix stickers on her Fender Bass (see THRILL) because her mother listened to him all the time, and KANAMI plays a PRS because Carlos Santana is her favourite and she likes the beauty of the Custom 24 (of course she uses all 24 frets too) and AKANE listened to Deep Purple and Maximum the Hormone, Interviewer: How long have each of you been playing music? Miku: Since I was small, I loved singing and I was a child who would sing anywhere. I was going to a vocal school about 3 years ago. I started to play the guitar after starting BAND-MAID, so it’s been about 2 years. Saiki: I started singing when I was 14, but just as a soloist. This is my first time in a band. Kanami: I’ve played classic piano for 15 years, and I’ve been playing the guitar for 8 years, also as a singer and songwriter. Misa: I’ve been playing in bands for about 7 years, but I’ve been playing musical instruments ever since I was 3 or 4 years old. I started on piano. Akane: 4 years for piano, 5 years on the trombone, 6 years for the drums.

I have found that to properly enjoy a Band-Maid song, the first 2 or 3 times you listen to it, IGNORE the lyrics/sub-titles. Just let the music roll over you. The tonality, the beat, the rhythm, just let it flow over you and experience it. THEN, go back and try to parse the lyrics. I've found I can actually get a better understanding of them, as I have digested the patterns of the song beforehand. And this song was Kanami's "Homework" for the other Ladies. She told them to write a part for a song, and she would incorporate them all together in one song. And Blooming is the result. If you can find the Line Cube Shibuya version from February 2020, I think it's the best live version out currently.

This was one of the very first songs I saw from them and I'm still impressed. I could mention four dozen cool things about this song from the opening and closing riffs to the rising bass line during the solo, to the ethereal "far away, take me somewhere far away" section. This is great songwriting and excellent execution. By the way, Band-Maid played the Crystal Ballroom in Portland last August 11th.

"Fumougokai" is a Buddhist term that means "You shall not lie". Miku (rhythm guitar/lyricist/band founder/spokes-pigeon) loves to use this kind of difficult 4-kanji idioms. Probably my favourite B-M track. Such a good go too... You said you're a metal head. Recommend checking out Lovebites. Some of these girls went to B-Ms 10 year anniversary at Yokohama. Both drummers are good friends, and hang out. Kind of get the feeling, that the Jrock/metal community hang out with each other.. which has resulted in some really good projects and bands, which could be considered "supergroups". Lovebites is one of these. Formed when one was dismantled, and the bassist and drummer decided to start a new band. Highly recommend "the hammer of wrath" live 2023 on their official KZbin channel.

@zs98119 ай бұрын
While it can be pointed out that it begins with a four-character idiom about the Buddhist precept of not telling lies, in my opinion it is too much of a leap to read something like evil god into the lyrics. It is Kobato's style to write abstractly and leave the interpretation to the reader, though.
