It's always heartbreaking to see Kanami on the verge of fainting during the US tour (30:10) - Orhenje is delicate enough not to overemphasize this scene but those who saw the US tour documentary remember how frightening it was and how surprising it was to watch her come back on stage as if nothing had happened. She's a real trooper too.

The best thing during that scene is how Akane was helping her get hydrated making sure she was OK. It happed again and Akane was there again with an ice pack. Kanami I believe learned to take better care of herself afterwards and was push by Saiki to do so. 🤘🕊️🦍🥷👸🏻👀PO!

Heard she was so drained that she wouldn't play "From now on" at the last show(s). She felt that she didn't have the "energy" that the song demanded. When I think about Kanami, it's the video they made during their workshop in 2019. Akane had just started making breakfast, Miku was making a log... and Saiki and Misa was still sleeping. Mincho? She was already up and working on the arrangements down in the "band-room". So dedicated.

Yes, Kanami is the creative driving force for the band musically, but you will see later that Miku has an equal amount of determination and focus in many other aspects of making Band-Maid successful! This band is a perfect combination of talents and personalities.

@@chrisegbertky You're right.. Still.. We wouldn't have had the same music without her. Without a dedicated songwriter, the bands direction would be in the hands of the label. Yes, Kanami is the music composer, but mostly Miku and occasionally Saiki provide the lyrics. I've always said that Kanami often composes in an orchestral style, in that each member is often playing something different, like the different sections of an orchestra. This is where I think her post Band-Maid, heaven forbid, future will be. Great reaction- Thanks. The acoustic song is Anemone, as mentioned below but you need the Zepp live 2018 version, to hear Kanami singing backing vocals- such a sweat voice for someone who doesn't like singing.

What I'm curious about is something that was mentioned in part 1 of the New year's dinner party they had on Band-Maid Prime, Kanami has one of Misa's Black Cloud signature bass guitars on order, she said she wants to do a demo video when she gets it. In the behind the scenes video for the Different MV, Kanami has a lot of interest in watching Misa's slap technique very closely. What sort of wild bass guitar stuff will we see the future if Kanami starts writing even more challenging bass parts than Misa has been creating.
@thevikingbuddha18 күн бұрын
I'm looking forward to finding out.

Anemone was the song I mentioned on your Puzzle reaction, as that was the 2 song acoustic set they did in the middle of that Zepp concert. Kanami's songwriting is a big part of why I love Band-Maid's music so much. That along with Saiki's vocals. I can see a lot of Japanese fans who really love Miku's lyrics as well, but since I cannot understand them, they can't stand out to me. However, just the music alone is enough to transcend language. Band-Maid's songs are just creatively written, catchy, intricate, melodic, and overall aesthetically pleasing. I believe Kanami has said that Misa was her best partner in songwriting. She often gives Misa homework to write X number of riffs this week! I don't believe Misa has written a song from zero before, but she is also wonderful in taking a song and improving it with her basslines, as she writes all of them herself.
