The last few winters have been just awful even in upstate New York and Syracuse the last two winters in a row have seen record low snowfall, which is such a bummer because I go to school in Syracuse and I live in New York City and all the way up here I’ve seen snowy winters in New York City. Syracuse and Oswego have been getting so little snowfall almost 70 to 80 inches below normal that they even received even less snow than what is average for New York City.

Ditto. I am near the PA/MD border. We had a snowfall of about 3 inches, and that's all I've seen in years, other than flurries and dusting. Even that 3 inches was gone by the next day.

Depends what you need to do. Drive up two lanes, and unload caustic soda, in 11 below, in a rain suit snow up to your rear, and go in and make sure it's flowing. Caustic soda freezes around 55 degrees. -11 wind blowing 20 mph. Funtime, really.

@@Grheia I do agree part of it is a watching a pot that never boils but I also believe another big reason why winter feels much longer is because it is indeed longer in my area where I live we get snow from October into May the winter weather has a long lasting linger. First snows in October and snows become frequent throughout November and throughout the winter months and into March which is typically still winter besides on some occasions early spring warm spells do occur in March but the snow always comes back, in April you do start to see a resemblance of spring with the snow in the winter melting completely off the ground however snowstorms still occur on random days in April and May covering the once melted ground with fresh snow the winter weather is always on and off in the spring only in the summer does it stay completely snow free. I thank you for the suggestion but I honestly don’t know what would really help besides moving somewhere warmer which isn’t an option for me right unfortunately I’m stuck in this state for now. I get depressed because I’m stuck indoors when it’s cold outside it really demotivates me but when it’s summer I don’t want to spend time indoors even on the hottest days of the summer, summer is very comfortable for me probably another reason why it goes by so fast. I’m really having a hard time fathoming how summer went by so fast though it really does feel like it ended in a flash.
