Jessica…..I have been looking forward to this event for months! So excited. I am going to work on Starry Night by Vincent Van Gogh. A classic and my favorite painter. I was raised near Arles, France, where Van Gogh lived for about 15 months. There is a magnificent museum there which I plan to visit again at the end of the month. My first trip back to Europe since the pandemic started! So I thought working on Starry Night here in the USA and while in France was perfect. This is also a favorite event of mine.❤️ I really enjoyed last year's #summerwiththemasters and I'm sure that this year will also be phenomenal with all the gorgeous kits I'm seeing around. I'm doing "Honey of the Hymettus" by Sarah Paxton Ball Dodson. I planned to order a Mucha or a Waterhouse piece but finances are tight so maybe next time. Hi Leeanne! I have that in my stash. She is beautiful. I unboxed it recently on my channel. My goodness, she looks fantastic with NO drills! It's exceptional. I'm obsessed with Waterhouse's artwork. I just ordered Miranda from Uniquely Yours Down Under. I decided to do The Starry Night from Diamond Painting Shoppe first though. Yay! I'm excited for this event! I'm a little late starting b/c I was finishing a custom that was a special gift so there was a deadline. I am entering and participating with Gustav Klimt's Woman in Gold by Diamond Dotz. I've heard a lot of people rave about this kit and I have had it in my stash for a while so I thought I'd give it a whirl. I must say that the confetti is NOTHING as bad as the custom that I just finished. Couple that with these larger round diamonds...this is extremely enjoyable and I must agreed with the others in saying that it is absolutely the most SPARKLEY kit I have ever done in my 5 years of DPing.

Yay! It's that time again! I am so excited to be starting my first canvas which is, "The Note", by Auguste Toulmouche. Last year I asked Heaven and Earth Designs if they would add it and "The Library" to their old masters canvas options and was so happy when they said yes. I can't wait to see all of the other canvases!

I ordered a painting from Homespun Hobby. It has not arrived yet. Just in case that happened, I ordered 2 other canvases. One from Diamond Painting Shoppe (Cafe'Terrace at Night) and Lady with a Parasol from Amazon. I have both of those. I will start the Van Gogh to go with my Starry Starry Night I did awhile ago from Diamond Dotz, that was my first diamond painting ever. I am still a newbie, at 61 had to learn a new craft. I have been knitting since I was 6. After a torn rotator cuff and other damage, I can't knit anymore. I hate sitting doing nothing. I have to be productive. A great thank you to so many for teaching me this beautiful craft. I think I am obsessed. Lol

I SO wanted to start A Virgin by Thayer for my first #SummerWithTheMasters, but alas the postage will take longer than the even... Soooo I'm ripping off my Van Gogh Band-Aid with Stary Night Over the Rhone. It's like playing Stairway while learning guitar. I'm cringing lovingly already, and it's not even delivered yet! It's going to be SO cheap and dodgy but I can't wait! 😂

@@tinyworldsofwonder Haha yes! Tragically (or perhaps predictably given it's from Amazon) they sent the wrong one! I ended up with A Starry Night so even more "Stairway"! I have to admit, the closer it gets to complete the more I'm actually liking the thing. I might actually end up hanging it rather than hiding it in the bottom of a folio! Sooo... Thank you again for this event. I would never *ever* have chosen this piece. It's becoming a happy accident 😅
