I'm not even convinced they will be remasters. They might just be rereleases in a bundle. Because right now, those games aren't available on the e.A app. So they could just be releasing them without doing anything to remaster them

A remaster would allow them to run. Even to run with gameplay mostly unchanged, they’d have to make adjustments for modern PCs.

I'd be grateful for just the re-release to work on a modern PC if they don't remaster them but it would be amazing if they do. I'm not too hopeful though. I feel like they'll just add features to sims 4 similar to sims 1 and 2, that'll be disappointing like usual.

I agree and I can't help but think they will totally get our hopes up and we will be disappointed. I mean when they brought out the love heart bed in the basement kit, you couldn't even use it. It was just a decoration. I heard rumours about them bringing out the old landline phones too but they are just decoration and you can't use them either.

@dundee6402 Hint or not it doesn't matter. My point is they make out like these packs are gonna be awesome so you pay all this money and then the pack has hardly any content. I'm sorry if you dont agree with me but if you compare sims 4 to sims 3, it's just not as good. No where near. At least sims 3 it was worth the money and you didn't need like 80 add on games because each expansion pack that was made actually had a lot of good content. It just had everything straight up. And paying for these small kits that include f all is really just wrong. Its all about the money and not about the actual game play anymore. EA don't care. They need to work on fixing the actual bugs first instead of bringing out another pack that could have been in the base game from start lol

@ I mean I fully agree with your point but you just picked a bad example of a pack delusion when they are dozens of worse times EA disappointed us. Can't have deep snow in Seasons, can't go underwater when we have mermaids in Island Living, can't control pets in Cats & Dogs, can't use the train in Snow Escape while it was heavily featured in the trailer, can't use home cameras in Growing Together when the trailer heavily hinted at it, can't have proper unicorns in a literal expansion pack dedicated to horses, can't visit other apartment units in For Rent without loading screens ON THE SAME LOT, ... Just a hint to a future pack pales in comparison to these packs not delivering on actual glaringly missing features.

@dundee6402 This is the issue with social media. You know what i mean, you agree with my point but you're more concerned about a "bad example" given. Its not a bad example. It's the truth. I don't care about hints. EA should just make an expansion pack with everything included in it at once rather than making stupid hints and having people waste their money time and time again. I’d be happy with Sims1 & Sims2 re-release though. Don’t change anything, leave them as they are, it’s nostalgic that way. Just make sure they run on modern computers, ok? That’s all we ask!! It’s not a lot and I’m willing to pay for it!! COME ON EA!!!!

Yup. I don’t need them to be remakes. Just make them compatible for modern PCs, fix the major bugs, and make the resolution options up to at least 1080p. Hopefully that way at least most mods for the original games could stay compatible too…

Oh and on the possible remastering of The Sims 1 and 2, I admit I would buy both again, if they are going to work on new PC's operating systems, I am figuring they will have them both as ultimate collections, meaning with all the packs included in one game, not re-release the packs by themselves, I can't see even EA doing that with 2 older games. But I would hope they would do a remaster of The Sims 3 too, maybe they could fix it so we could play with all the packs and include the store items as well with the remastered bundled game, meaning again with all packs. Sure it might be harder for them to make a The Sims 3 ultimate collection, since it's packs are a lot bigger, the remaster of it might be a heck of a lot more expensive for us to buy too, and maybe also more expensive to re-leased remastered with all packs and story items in one download. Now they might also decide to do TS1 and TS2 first to see how well they do, and if they do well, then they might decided to do The Sims 3 too. If they could just make it where it will work on my newer PC and not crash anymore, I would be fine with getting again, maybe. Not sure I would trust them to get it working that well, since they never even tried back when it was still the newest game, before they released TS4. I mean at that time I had totally rebuilt my desktop PC to be able to play TS3, making sure to meet all requirements, and still it crashed on me, and without mods too. And I know a lot of people play The Sims 3 even now, but I also know that most of those people, or maybe all them even, don't have every pack and every store item, installed, like I do, so it's possible that if I cut out HUGE bunch of packs especially, that maybe it wouldn't crash for me either, but since I paid for all those packs, it really bugs me that I can't play the game with all of them in my game. Which is also why as I said in my other comment, I am afraid I might start going through the same thing now with The Sims 4, since I also have all the packs for it too, and it has even more now then TS3 I believe.

Saturday I was playing TS4, and for the first time in awhile I was playing live mode, not just creating Sims or building lots, and just when I decided to have my Sim travel to another lot, without even starting to go, the game just crashed on me. Which was the first time it's done that during live mode, it has done it while in CAS, which happened the day they started the Holiday event last month, it's done one more time since that first time. Now I am worried that The Sims 4 is going to start crashing on me the way The Sims 3 did and still would do, if I still bothered to try and play it, since I have abandoned any hope of ever being able to play TS3. If crashing becomes a thing with TS4 too, then that will be another The Sims game I can't ever play again. I have been worried for a few years now that The Sims would keep adding so much stuff that it would overload the game, like with TS3, where i believe all those different packs just didn't work well together, maybe they have some data in them that makes them incompatible or something, I don't know, since I no very little about the data when it comes to computer programs or games or anything like that. When the game crashed I lost a lot of progress, and so now I am afraid to even try and play the game again, even when we do finally get a patch to fix the missing items problem, there is no reason to think it will fix the crashing too. I had heard of Sim players complaining about their games crashing, but I hadn't had that happen with The Sims 4 before, and was thinking I was pretty lucky, I also figured a lot of people probably had some of the really big mods in their games, and I only have very little ones, of course MCCC and the UI Cheats, and they are both updated for the last patch, and I have a few skin detail CC and face and body presets and LUUMIA'S body hair, so nothing really big. Of course there is one bug that I had noticed pop up while I was decorating an apartment for my Sim, the undo button wasn't working in Build/Buy mode, which has happened before, and it always turned out to be caused by MCCC for some reason. Because when I removed it, everything went back to normal, also once I even used the version of the mod I had before I updated it. But if it was it this time, why didn't do it sooner, I've had it since the day of the update, and the undo button was working up until Saturday. But I probably should have removed MCCC when I saw the undo button wasn't working at the time, but instead I kept playing. I am thinking I might take MCCC out and see if it helps, but I might first check and see if the undo button is working again, as it did between the day of the Sims update and Saturday. Well I took MCCC out and this time it isn't it causing the undo arrows not to work in Build/Buy, so it's a game bug, but it only just started for some reason, but I haven't added anything new to the game, so this doesn't make sense. I wonder if anyone else is having the same problem.

Release a remaster of The Sims 1 and 2 and 31 January they can surprise us with a new expansion pack for The Sims 1 and 2 remaster so we can do much more in this games than we could in the past. I don’t think they would make a new expansion pack but it would be nice if they did.

The sims 2 IKEA stuff pack is nostalgia on its own. It contains a mirror from the store with a concept art of Bobaboo🤣🦖🦖 If they bring back the sims 2 I'm not going to lie I'm gonna be so happy. It was my favourite game growing up and it has a special place in my heart ❤🎉
