having a crossover between EVANGELION and TOF makes sense as the two has the same vibe, theme and atmosphere, you have the ANGELS in EVANGELION and THE ABYSSANT in TOF you also have NEMESIS in TOF and ASUKA in EVANGELION which both look similar to each other.
