To everyone watching this video who is a trucker or military vet, God bless you and thank you for your service. I am a great-grandson of a WWI vet and grew up in trucks across all lower 48 states and I love this song! I'm not a huge Tony Justice fan due to some of his lyrics or song titles being profane, but this song and his duet rendition with Arron Tippin of "Brothers of the highway" are the best trucking songs I have ever heard. These two songs say everything American Truckers are and what we stand for. I'm heading for college and the U.S Air Force to become a reserve fighter pilot, but my goal is to become a rancher and produce/cattle trucker based in West Texas.

He now drives the roads of heaven and i hope to see him again someday. My dad didn't ask for appreciation, he didn't ask for thanks, he did it because he loved doing it. An american eagle Tatoowd on his left arm Old glory, flat and proud On that eastbound Western Star He's got a MIA sticker For his brothers that he still misses Carrying it somehow and make it home He drives across his country From sea to shining sea Remembering his sacrifice how freedom don't comes free With the windshield full of what he loves Takes pride of what he did and does This soldier grabs another gear He rolls on Stars, Stripes and White Lines Charging thru the long night Like an 18 wheeled cavalry Loaded down with liberty Where would america be Without stars, stripes and white lines? He thinks about his babies Safe and sound at sleep at home And he knows someday they'll understand The reasons he's been gone Talking 'bout a hero, man I'd sure like to shake his hand It takes its time to thank the man That keeps his country strong Stars, Stripes and White Lines Charging thru the long night Like an 18 wheeled cavalry Loaded down with liberty Where would america be Without stars, stripes and white lines? Stars, Stripes and White Lines Charging thru the long night Like an 18 wheeled cavalry Loaded down with liberty Stars, Stripes and White Lines Charging thru the long night Like an 18 wheeled cavalry Loaded down with liberty Where would america be Without stars, stripes and white lines? In '85 I was 20 and in our state you could drive but not cross any state line, a friend of mine from school his dad had a large car and pulled a can behind him and he taught me how to drive we ran together the entire year and one of the best lessons I llearned was when pulling a tanker and your going through a town and the light turns red about when you got to it I stood on the brakes and we stopped, until the 7,000 gallons of fuel hit the front of the trailer it knocked me through the intersection
