This project has been something really special for me. Its an opportunity for me to honor my most esteemed piece of music, One-Winged Angel by Nobuo Uematsu by writing my own original interpretation of the song.
Its an honor to be able to contribute and integrate my original work into such a timeless piece, and an even bigger honor to share it with the world.

This. This right here is a true One Winged Angel. The low whisper chanting in the beginning, the menacing drum, THE PERFECT MASTERFUL DISSONANCE (Gotta make Stravinsky proud), THAT WONDERFUL TEMPO CHOICE, The military vibe we get at the beginning with the drums and trumpets and organized yet dissonant choir: a disturbed, overly strong and tragic soldier, truly Sephiroth, indeed. The tempo change making it faster before a bell that rings for silence and reflexion, and perhaps a twsit... "Good to see you, Cloud." And a mood change into a nightmarish hell, representing what Sephy is to Cloud. THAT is how you do musical storytelling! The choir is back, but its phrases feel more...Silky. They show a certain class, mixed within the nightmare of a dark angel. Also, the castanet-like percussion is simply wayyy too good I love it. "Veni Veni Venias" is my favorite part, and you sure nailed the why: THE GROWING INTENSITY YOU GAVE IT. When "Gloriosa" sets in? THIS FEELS like you ARE Sephiroth having a mental breadown about Jenova. "Come my son", in english so we can understand directly what is said and tremble to the idea before a music box sets in to interrupt us? And a soprano voice singing some wonderful angel-like notes, accompanied by the military-like choir? The chaos growing, more and more near the last part, showing how Sephiroth's mind is corrupting more and more into a destructive deity, showcased by the organ, the visuals with a huge blast, and that wonderful male voice singing a solo near the end. Truly a masterful interpretation of One winged angel, and my favorite by far. I can't imagine how proud Uematsu would be to hear that.

So this song is more of a deep dive into Sephiroths psyche. This song would fit more so into a scene where Sephiroth is fighting his inner call to Jenova, but he ultimately loses and burns down Nibelheim, which eventually leads to his defeat by Clouds hand in Advent. It’s really meant to capture sephiroths twisted point of view, rather than be a climactic final battle like Rebirth was.

Okay, I was listening to this for the first time while working on some stuff at night and hearing Sephiroth speak before the 3 minute mark genuinely spooked me a little lmao This sounds incredible by the way. I have so much fun listening to different takes on OWA so finding another cool one is really cool, especially hearing english lyrics working, that's something I don't think I've found before! After listening again, yeah this is definitely one of my favorite OWAs. The constant shifting of the intensity is amazing, it leaves you on your toes, sort of like remake's, but it just takes that idea and keeps going with it, and after all this buildup, it just closes with this FANTASTIC singing. Yours has its own identity that feels like it should be another one of the older versions.

Memoria/Despair and rebirth, should go down in HISORY as the best remixes of ALL TIME! It’s hard to compare any other remake out there because you always win. All others take the song they merely remix it, but you COMPLETELY REMAKE the songs. The choir sounds great in English and Latin, better than all others. Even the fact some of its English, is soooo cool! There was a ton of care put into these remixes. Most others are put into a rock form with basing off either the original or AC music, but yours aren’t really based on one. With them, it sounds like it was a brand new, official song from SQEX. There are new aspects of OWA in your remakes that I couldn’t DREAM of. In short, They both make me feel large amounts of despair. I will now play these on repeat in the hallways when I’m switching classes at school. If this doesn’t get put in the FF7 Remake, I’ll be mad. (If not, I might hack it into my ps4 when I can). Mr. Uematsu would be proud.

Dis Pear and Rebirth/Memoria don't just remaster OWA, the songs are completely rearranged. Definitely a real re-mix, and I'd say Despair and Rebirth is even better than the original. Memoria is a bit too distant from OWA too be compared, but it's still awesome and breathes in new life into the theme, and that part with Advent Children's lyrics at 2:01 is sooooo catchy.

I already explained my absolute love for the music, and now that I've seen the "movie" in the music, not only are you talented at music, but also arranging clips! The clips were amazing (props to the originals) and you putting them together with the music was outstanding! I especially love the AC clips near the end and when Sephiroth is defeated, along with the singing, it was incredible. Love the VA inclusions within the video. Amazing work, man! Never let anyone put you down! Now stay safe from any alien-like gods, I'm worried for your safety.
