Rassie has been the greatest find for South African rugby. What a coach! And his ability to surround himself with superb assistant coaches and wonderful players makes him one of the best, if not the very best, coach of all.

You can really hear Handré has a great understanding of the game and takes his 'research' of the other team and their players very seriously. Such a valuable asset to this team and squad.

I don't think we realise that we are living through a story that will be spoken about for generations, the story of the greatest coach to live and the men he coached. We speak on Sir Alex, the All blacks, Shankly, the busby babes and we will speak about Rassie's boys.

No, I think the people did not forget it.

Moves and plays like he's older than willie. Needs to get himself in shape, otherwise he will be riding the bench till SFM takes over.
@willemsteyn7808Ай бұрын
@Papakadush sasha still has a lot to learn when it comes to kicking goals. He missed all his kicks when he came on against NZ at Cape Town. If he kicks that poorly in a normal game imagine how poor he will kick when he has to line up a kick to win a world cup knockout game. Pollard kicked 100% the entire world cup. That is experience.
@Karma-qt4jiАй бұрын
@@willemsteyn7808 not true, he got his first kick over. And then he took a bad knock on the leg that had him hobbling and still managed to play like that. Kicking goals is only a part of the flyhalf's duties. You realise that despite kicking 8 from 8 against Ireland, Pollard still lost us the game? Kicked the ball dead from a restart that ultimately resulted in 3 points to Ireland, butchered an attacking movement in the first half by chipping the ball down the throat of the fullback for an easy mark, had Kolbe on the outside of Lowe and fired the pass at his shins, kicked the goal line drop straight to Conner Murray to set up the first drop goal.... the second Willie went off injured, our backline lost all attacking ability. Kicking 4 from 4 in the final was great and all, but it was a combination of our defence (despite Handre missing nine tackles. Yes, NINE!!) and poor discipline, handling and kicking from the All Blacks that won us the game. They knocked the ball on 12 times, kicked 2 from 4, got carded with poor discipline - do you really believe that not scoring a point after the 32nd minute was ever going to win us the game without the opposition imploding? We have kept them under 12 points only four times since 1998, and two of those were RWC warm up games.
@Karma-qt4jiАй бұрын
@@Papakadush Am I the only one who notices he has developed a trigger movement when he passes? He plants his foot and pivots around that, almost stopping in the process. Look how fluid the rest of the backline look when passing and for Pollard it looks like he has a shoulder injury or something.

Thanks for the audio on questions. Rassie is putting high pressure on this team to win this game in like finals rugby. Pollard is there as assurance for the first 12/15 points - Rasta once again you on the money my coach, ad the pressure on the team pressure creates diamonds. This team - they need to gain that crucial experience in winning a cup or championship on a foreign field. 2027 is coming and the Coaching team is building up, create experience, create depth, create different game plans, different defensive structures and most of all learning the lessons of the mistakes from previous world cups. Wessels, du Toit, Steenkamp, Moerat, Nortje, Louw, Jason Dixon van den Berg, Fassie - the ball is in your hands to make the asked impression.
