Not taking anything away from Rassie’s vision and the many hours of hardwork put in by the coaching staff and Bok players, but it seems like an awful amount of meticulous planning went on behind the scenes and yet the Bok’s edged one point win in the quarters, semis and the final. It’s fair to say that competitiveness among the teams at this stage were on par. Any one of them could’ve won the RWC. In my opinion, the input output ratio seems lopsided. It’s like the Bok’s put in an immense amount of work to be on par with the major contenders. Going forward the Bok’s need to put in some sound victories against the top performing nations, otherwise we will retain the image of a smash and grab thief that stole the Webb Ellis from “more deserving” rugby teams.

What I do not understand is that people say that the other teams were "more deserving". Yes we did not play the best Rugby but we came out on top, why? ' Hulle weetie wat ons weetie!' 😂. I must say, Iittle to none sympathy for the french as they were over confident from get go, but if the All Black kept their composure, and not miss all their kicks the cup would have been theirs, they played well enough to win it, but even in other sporting codes pressure and composure can make or break a team.

For goodness sake. Rassie can claim that they flew to the moon and back, and still made it in time for the game and South Africans will believe that he is in a genius. I highly doubt that the French and all those behind the scenes cared about what the Springboks were doing, and I highly doubt that releasing the team 48 hrs before kick off gave them any type of edge. The fact is, South Africa barely scraped by France, were dominated for large portions of the game, and simpy put, they were lucky to win. The same goes with their semi against England, and in the final against New Zealand. If Rassie is the genius coach that everyone claims. Then by that standard, South Africa should beat Ireland in June, by at least 20+ points in both games, while getting a red card and playing with 14 on the field.

If I follow the reasoning behind videos like these, Rassie's genius saved the Boks from an absolute hiding at the hands of France. SA won by one point. The game could have gone either way depending on the ref's interpretation of the 50/50 calls that mostly went SA's way. Your reasoning implies that but for Rassie's pre-game strategems SA would have lost by 20 points. I don't think Galthie and his crew really cared about what Rassie was up to or who would start at 13 or if a flanker was going to play at 2. The reasons given here as an explanation for the win are speculative at best, and I don't believe the decisions made by Rassie leading up to the fortunate win were as calculated and premeditated as Jordan would have you believe. For the love of the game, please get out of the "Rassie is genius" echo chamber bubble and talk more about the players and the incredible rugby they played.
@SoundPnemonicАй бұрын
I don't think you understand the "stronger Together" Phrase of the Springboks. The Mighty Springbok Team does not only exist because of the coach, it's a team effort. Go watch Chasing the sun. Number one first, then chapter 2...
@lawofficeofdanielstewartpl7669Ай бұрын
@@SoundPnemonic Come on, every team has that same phrase in some form or other. I am sure Chasing the Sun is great propaganda for both Rassie and the Boks. I think the Boks are an incredible rugby team, and South Africa has some of the most talented rugby players in the world. The purpose of my comment is to question whether Rassie's pre-game behaviors really did confuse the French, and whether that confusion led to the SA victory. If so, Jordan's argument seems to undermine the SA performance, suggesting that without Rassie and all his trickery leading to massive french confusion, the SA team would have had an even greater loss than they did to Ireland. I do not think that is the case. Given that it was a one-point game that could have gone either way, I invite people to look at other factors that could also explain the victory that have nothing to do with what Jordan is saying is directly the cause of the victory.
