This song is from Wacken Open Air (Germany) in 2013, together with Floor Jansen, the 3rd and present female singer of the band, in front of an 82K audience. About the instrumental and vocal added parts - it's good to know they recorded their orchestral and vocal back tracks with prestigious institutions as London Philharmonic Orchestra. ... Tuomas Holopainen, the keyboard player, composes and writes the lyrics for 95% of their music. [The 1st Bassist of the band was Sami Vanska, he was with them until 2001. The 2nd one was Marco Hietala, as Bassist and vocals, since 2001 to 2020. He recently announced his retirement both from the band and the public life for the next year at least - we'll see what the future brings to us. Then very recently (May 2021) Jukka Koskinen became the 3nd Bassist of the band, for at least the Human :II: Nature tour] And there is the guitarist Emppu Vuorinen . Then there is Troy Donockley from UK who is a multi-instrumentalist and vocals. Jukka Nevalainen is the drummer. In 2015 due to Jukka's health issues Kai Hahto became the drummer and as of now is a permanent addition. Nightwish has had three singers. 1st one was Tarja Turunen (Operatic vocals). She was with them until 2005. The 2nd one was Anette Olzon from Sweden (Poppy, strong vocals). She was with them until 2012.The 3rd and current singer is Floor Jansen, from Netherlands (power, operatic, soprano.....most versatile) - you just heard her. There are live concerts that you should use depending on what era. She got vocals!!! - you ain't seen nothing yet 😉 Floor is unique - she is the greatest singer and storyteller in this century. She started 25 years ago in 96 /97 when she was 16 in a band called After Forever - and already then, she started getting speachless fans ( I was one of them). Great composers like Arjen Lucassen / Ayreon /Stsr One found her in 2000, and a few years later, she and After Forever toured with Nightwish. In October 2012 she joined Nightwish - and the greatest Symphonic Metal band ever, became a reality. No other band can perform a tell stories like them. I'm here from Wisconsin to watch Nightwish with Floor kicking butt once again! lead singer Floor Jansen is our Valkyrie Queen, and in my opinion the most talented Metal/Rock singer today. She can sing anything classical, opera, rock fry, growls, pop, musicals, etc. (even the phonebook!) and from her social media appears to be such a great human being too! Nightwish have so so many great songs! If you choose videos off of General Gabriel Bardac's list you can't go wrong!

When you want to go further on the path of our 1.83m tall Dutch Valkyrie Queen Floor Jansen besides Nightwish, here is some background information on her. Floor joined the band 'After Forever' in 1997 at the age of 16. And you witnessed first hand a "Dutch Windmill" and you felt it 😁, and to finish you off, The Operatic "Cruise Missile" !!!! Floor has 3 distinct styles. Head banging(straight forward, then back), hair whip(almost like cracking a bull whip) and the Windmill(continuous 360 degree revolutions). Why Windmill? Well she is Dutch. Awesome tune , although it is kind of a popish sound (originally sung by Anette), but Floor gave it soooo much POWER !!! Nightwish lyrics are often a bit interpretive, and not as "straight forward" as many other bands, because Tuomas ( Our Metal Mozart Tuomas Holopainen : founder, leader, keyboardist, songwriter and main composer of Nightwish.) prefers people to put their own interpretations and life experiences into the lyrics. you connect with songs on a personal level when there is something there that relates to things you have gone/are going through, and you may even find new connections later on in life when you have gone through other big events/emotions. there might be songs you are quite indifferent about (oh, nice song) and then you go through something big and all of a sudden it makes you break down in tears because now you relate to something in the lyrics you didn't before, and see it from a whole new perspective. imagination and life experiences are powerful, and Tuomas has great appreciation of this. Floor her name is derived from the Roman Goddess of Spring, Flora. Floor Jansen is called the Valkyrie Goddess of Metal and Empathy. Floor Jansen is a soprano, with a range of more than 4 octaves (Eb2 to F6) She can sing from classical to belting and raspy vocals like screaming and death growls. And she's also a voice coach and teacher to boot. Floor Jansen was the singer of the Dutch metal band After Forever from 1997 to early 2009. From 1999 she studied at the Rockacademie in Tilburg with classmates Jacqueline Govaert and Danny Vera, where she graduated in 2003. In addition to her activities at After Forever, she gave singing lessons. She plays guitar, piano and flute. On May 5, 2010, she presented her new band ReVamp, which was disbanded in September 2016. From 1 October 2012 Jansen replaced Anette Olzon as singer of Nightwish during the Imaginaerum World Tour. On October 9, 2013, it was announced that she would be the group's regular new front singer. In 2015, Nightwish released the album Endless Forms Most Beautiful with Jansen as lead singer. Nightwish's second studio album with Jansen as front singer, Human. :II: Nature., was released in April 2020. This was recorded at the 2013 Wacken ( pronounced Vahken) Open Air festival in Germany in front of an audience of 82,000 people. The fiery bull head is the symbol of the festival. You can’t go wrong choosing any of the 15 songs of Wacken 2013 performed by Nightwish. Ghost Love Score is what most people react to or Ever Dream. Maybe go for I wish I had an angel. That one is awesome too and not reacted to a lot or Amaranth. Also the live concerts from Wembley and Buenos Aires are amazing. All with Floor their third and latest singer. You should also check the original singer Tarja’s version of Phantom of the opera and the second singer Annette’s version of Slow love slow. Nightwish has a lot of variation in their songs but you will find out if you listen to more.

Nightwish are excellent in the studio, but even better live, and this was one of THE live concerts. You obviously enjoyed losing your Flooginity with storytime. But sound out the original from the album Imaginaerum with Anette. That is very good and enjoyable, but you will see how Floor simply takes anything from the back catalogue and gives it her treatment. The technical term for your reaction is a Floorgasm.

If not mistaken the "flaming bull" is a feature of the venue/festival in Germany not part of nightwish's pyro. I only gather this because I've watched other bands performances from wacken '13 and the bull was still present.

In crowdsurfing people are always 'handed' towards the stage. There, security pick them up and set them down safely on the ground from where they are escorted back to the actual concertspace through the safety walkway between space and crowd. You just give the nice security man that struggled to pick your sweaty fat ass off the crowds hands bridal-style a pat on the shoulder and return to the crowd to surf once more :D You are missing out still! There's another vocal surprise waitng for you with nightwish! Check out 'Romanticide' or 'Poet & the Pendulum' live to see some of that!
