@Travis: 4:25 Marco's bass here is a Warwick Buzzard bass, originally designed by the Warwick founder together with and for John Entwistle of The Who in 1985. Marco is a Warwick endorser. In earlier years' videos like on The End Of An Era Live DVD, you mostly see him with his Warwick Infinity. During the last years, he is often seen with his Warwick Vampyre and his double-neck custom bass which is again an Infinity married with a Warwick/Framus guitar.
@madeleinestene10094 жыл бұрын
I tought it was a warwick vampyre, but a quik Google search told me I was mistaken. Anyway the warwick basses are beautiful, a work of art in my opinion.

That my friend is a Warwick Buzzard....Marco is a Warwick base artist. Speaking of gear: This never gets old. Juuka grooving on his TAMA double-base set, Emppu driving the rhythm in his signature ESP EV-1, Marco giving us epic base lines in his Warwick Buzzard, Tuomas sharing his genius on his KORGs and Floor leading the crowd like a modern-day 6-foot 1-inch Valkyrie and seducing like a siren. They are all at the top of the talent tree. Each one alone could lead a band into greatness let alone all five of them. One of the best live performances of all time. Not only musically but staging and production is unmatched.

how many hard rock/ metal songs do you know of that talk of the innocence of every man, the empty crib of Peter Pan, and soaring kites across a blue, blue sky? that's one of my fav aspects of this band. Tuomas writes about personal things, but also about Disney themes, science is a huge topic, it's not just always about sex, drugs, and rock'n'roll or obvious themes like love and death. his poetry carries the songs as much as his composing talent. Follow the madness, Alice you know once did...

Marco calls his bass guitar "The Axe",im sure i have even heard him say "Viking battle axe" at some point. Well,Nightwish Army calls him The Viking based upon his hair and beard,so it fits perfectly lol. Both that bass and his double neck he had custom made if i remember correctly. Many people first time listening to this,called it the "Michael Myers Theme" (it reminded them of it) I guess Floor helped along with her introduction in a whispering,spooky way. Jukka going at the drums,like they insulted his entire family. I guess its something about Nordic countries and metal that goes hand in hand. Because the only other drummer i can think of from the top of my head,is Lars "The Danish Dynamite" Ulrich in Metallica. Kai must have me exused,i love the guy and his drumming. But Lars i have known about since i was a kid turning a teenager. I hadnt heard of Kai until they announced him in as a "replacement/substitute" for Jukka. And Jukka i have known about since the early 90s. So they have both been a part of my music life for ages allready. But Jukka might be the most brilliant showdrummer,as i think i have mentioned before,that i have ever seen. Dont get me wrong,i can mention the wonderboy,the inspiration and amazing drummer in Def Leppard too,Rick Allen. For decades he has been known as the "one armed drummer",wich he compensated for after his accident,by using more foot pedals. And i got alot of great drummers in mind wich i have alot of positive things to say about. But Jukka is defintly the most passionate drummer i have experienced,and people seem to love how he rocks that whole "pirate look" in concerts,therefor the nickname "The Pirate". He looks the part,and he plays the part........what more could you possibly hope for?!

Favorites are _Bullies, Panic Attack, Last Man Standing,_ and _Why So Serious?_ _Bullies_ is my favorite I think. It's like Eminem meets Pantera meets Linkin Park. _Panic Attack_ has a killer opening riff, lovely cleans, and some seriously great lyrics. _Bang Your Head_ is not my favorite, but damn... that breakdown is so fucking sick! _Anticipation_ is like Metallica meets Evanescence, with a dose of EDM sprinkled on top. _Last Man Standing..._ Suzi Q - that was beautiful. 🤗

Again, I have to request a reaction to JP Leppäluoto. 😅 I'm on a mission to get someone to react to his music and I won't stop until I achieve that goal. 😆 My suggestions are still "Colder" by his first band Charon, "I Once Had Wings" by Dark Sarah (Audio only, or maybe a lyric video if you can find one), or his solo song "Kuoppa" if you don't mind softer acoustic non-English music.
