Its the same on any British chat show. British celebs no doubt breathe a sigh of relief when they realise they can talk to an interviewer who has the same sense of humour and understands the same references. Whereas if they are being interviewed by an American interviewer, they have to adopt a rictus grin and play along with the soul crushing falseness of it all

It's like you live on another planet. Britain had a long history of play writing and stage acting before USA turned it into a joke with Hollywood. Hollywood started off well, as the British man Charlie Chaplin helped put it on the world map with his amazing acting and comedy, but it has now become who has had the most plastic surgery than acting. You're more likely to make it big inn USA acting if you come from another country anyway. Big names like Jim Carey come from Canada.
