Damn, that was scary. Overtaking three cars wide with two wheels in the grass at 200 kmh.
@andremaccarini16564 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure how accurate it is, but in racing sims if you clip the grass at low speeds under acceleration you're going to spin because of the torque difference. At high speeds you start to get sucked in towards the barrier but it's easier to control it and get back to the track.

Short info for people watchung this video: this is multiclass racing event. You can see lot of slower cars letting him by because they are obligated to do that. As far as I recognized correctly, he was overtaking e90/e46/e36 touring cars, 911 Cup (closest to GT3 from the field), GT4, TCR, N group modified road cars and M2/M240i/M235i cup cars. That however doesn't make video any less impressive. Moving through the traffic is way harder than it looks like and doing it with all telegraphing your move, precision and commitement is something that comes with countless hours of training and years of experience. Not to mention that driver in the video was way faster than one in GTR GT3 he overtaken at GP part of circuit.

So when I first started watching I had every intention of counting the overtakes ... 20 seconds in , mind blown ! Start asking myself , what are the rules to this event? ... came to The conclusion there are no rules ! Just keep it nailed and the grass verve is an extension of the track 😂 ! Awesome, simply awesome 👏 my favourite parts was the braking points !
@Hammster19114 жыл бұрын
There are multiple classes driving in the same race + the driver is very good at keeping momentum. Besides your normal racing skill in the VLN you really have to know how to overtake the lower class cars efficiently. Also there are a few unwritten rules, but for example that one guy making room and flashing his indicator is very well-mannered IMHO.
