First time I heard the original was in 2001, when Goldie dropped it in his set at Night Cruiser Antwerp and if my memory serves me well it got a rewind. It has been one of my favourite classics ever since. Unbelievable it's 20 years ago but Metalheadz always kept on bringing quality releases the past 2 decades. Mad respect to John B, Goldie and the Metalheadz crew.

many people have a soft spot for the original, so a comparison is inevitable. when I started going to raves, it was a must play in every set, for this reason I have an emotional connection to it. guess it's the same for others too, the bar is really high when touching a classic like this. i dont agree with the bashing though, remix is top of the line.

Well, when you remix a classic you're bound to get comparisons, especially from old heads (like me) who have fond memories of hearing the original when it came out. Having said that, this is a nice remix, takes the bones of the original and takes it in a slightly different direction. Not sure if I like it quite as much as the original, but I've got 20 years of memories with that, so that's normal. Looking forward to hearing this on a big system.
