Gladys was such a wonderful person. When the Presleys moved down the street from me and my family on Audubon Drive in Memphis, I had already met Elvis and after my first visit with Gladys shortly after they moved in, that amazing woman actually sent me a thank you note telling me how much she enjoyed visiting with me. Talk about Southern hospitality! She was extremely nice and so proper at all times. I absolutely loved her and Vernon. (No doubt about Elvis!)

She is the one who worked to get him the first guitar! And what a Son he was to buy them a house and her a pink cadillac even though she didn't drive! GOD's BIGGEST COMMANDMENT IS honor thy mother and father! He had the wrong friends and doctor that messed his body but he is in heaven now with his mom! Mine is too, with Elvis we saw her in a dream with him, a beautiful dream!
