I'm Welsh and when I was younger I worked in a call centre for a mobile phone operator that handled government contracts based in England. After a few weeks I talked to the team looking after Scotland and nearly all of them said they had problems understanding the Scottish. After a few weeks I offered to take a call from that team with the customers they found the hardest to understand and I honestly could not comprehend why this was? Maybe it was having a Scottish Grandfather or watching a lot of Taggart growing up or the fact that I'm also a Celt but they transferred me onto their team with the nickname " The Scots whisperer" Built up such a rapport with one of my regulars that they sent us homemade Scottish tablet as a treat (BTW don't eat a lot of that or you'll have no teeth left) Definitely the funniest Brits
