I hope the Graham Norton show has Henry Cavill back often. I've watched him in so many interviews but the Graham Norton show is the only place he looks relaxed and less guarded and you see some of his funny side. So much fun to watch.

I really like how well Michael Fassbender explained what Assassin's Creed was. With Urban Gymnastics and Genetic Delorian. Those are really apt descriptors of concepts in the game.

I wish movie executives would adapt more video games and take them seriously. They’ve seen it happen with the last of us and the Witcher already. Imagine a Bioshock movie given a good budget with good actors.

When these execs realize theres a huge audience and, you dont even have to write an interesting story! Just get some good writers that can adapt it for the screen and you've got an easy hit

I wouldn't say the King (maybe one of the contenders). Joe Manganiello is a huge D&D fan and got a very special custom D&D table built for him. Its funny how many of them have no experience with video games, there is so much cross work and similarities between the industries. Sometimes I think since video games became the bigest entertainment industry, bigger than tv, films and music combined, if there isnt a bit of downplaying in their part. I know every time a movie celebrity get to play a video game character, he/her show up to gamers saying how much love it have for the game, even if they has never heard of it lol

I appreciate Jim Carry's comment about the magic of movies being when children pretend to be the character, because as a kid I pretended to be so many of Carry's characters from films. Ace Ventura was my favorite, of course, but The Mask was a close second

He probably is. He seems to be the one actually investing his own personal time and interest into actual games. Most of the rest of them are just on the surface level, and are simply being paid to play or voice characters in video games/adaptions, they may have played 10 minutes for ‘research’ and struggled to hold the controller given to them. Henry openly talks about his love and hours spent in games like the Witcher, world of Warcraft, and recently space marines 2. Like the guy built his own gaming PC.

I'll give that a maybe, since we obviously cannot know. But I will say, aside from the fact that almost every actor I've seen play a live action video game role says they've never played said game before, real video game fans are seldom bogged down by whatever stigma there is around the hobby

I use to freak people out since I was truly a female gamer. Guys would be surprised when I would get in conversation about certain video games and they would learn I TRULY was a gamer and my knowledge and detail about specific game storyline would trip them out. Haha the 90s and early 2000s was an interesting time.

Only 6 days now till the return of The Graham Norton Show, I’m waiting to see if Chris Hemsworth will be on the show this October, by the way, not sure if Graham takes music requests for his chat show or not, but if he and the team are looking for musicians I recently heard a song called Pour Me A Drink by Post Malone & Blake Shelton, I heard it and immediately thought of Graham cause he loves drinks and this song is about drinks.

The sad thing for me is how bad some of the adaptations were. Tomb Raider, for example, took half the plot from the Tomb Raider reboot, then half from an entirely different game called Uncharted, and it kind of became a mess as a result. Assassin's Creed was just awful. Witcher was pretty darn good in S1, but then the showrunners drove it into the ground. The adaptations that do well (Last of Us, Sonic, Silent Hill) are the ones where the showrunners actually respect the source material, but so many actors had good shots in good franchises ruined by people who don't understand them or couldn't be bothered to take them seriously.

I'm hoping that one of these celebs is secretly like the biggest whale in Raid: Shadow Legends or the ultra mega Kraken in Genshin Impact or something like that. I mean one of my friends told me that one of his wow guildmates was telling them to watch this cool TV series that he was going to be in... He was going to be playing the role of a dwarf there and he was pretty hyped about it. So they were like, ah, ok bro.. what's your show called? "Oh... Game of Thrones..." Yeah and that role was Tyrion Lannister.

I really dislike some of the guests in these clips. As someone for who gaming has been a big part of their whole life it’s slightly insulting how these actors come across like they look down on gaming as an art. You can see that many of them have the archaic opinion that gaming is nothing compared to cinema 🙄 they can be so disconnected.
