I remember watching this in middle school wondering why anyone would be friends with Amir, and how Jake tolerates, and even considers himself enough of a friend to throw him a surprise party. I'm 25 now and watching this made more sense. The people you end up becoming friends with are weird sometimes, and you still care about them because you've opened yourself up to new ideas and new people, and new friends. It's weird growing up with J&A and seeing each episode differently as times change. And this must be where I discovered Joshua Radin. Haven't thought about that song in a long while now.
